Yeah rotaries have zero low end. Part of the fun of them is hanging each shift out to 13k.

No i didn't think so..my 86 and 87 were 6' beds.

I do believe I owe you some pictures. I've since added more cables and actually sealed it all up but you get the idea. This picture was taken a little over a year ago and i haven't had an issue since with it breaking off

 

Did you check for all the extra long zip ties around your drive shafts???

In all seriousness. Is it a tap "you can feel" or a click "you can hear". Dry rustes out joints will click as they move with the joint end slopping back and forth in the cap.

 

Drain your rear diff completely. Look for chunks of metal.

 

But if you let out all the glitter the magic is lost and then you just have a repair bill.

Click you can hear. I’m assuming it’s u-joints at this point.

Diff was drained when I put the new seal in, no metal shavings or chunks were in there and it doesn’t sound like it’s coming from there.

 

Installed a few more dash and shifter with superbright LED's. Also replaced my reverse bulbs with some bright ass LED's.

Pull the drive shaft and feel each joint for binding.

 

What were the bulbs / numbers you used for each part

How much was a great deal? IYDM. Buddy of mine has a set I may buy off. Looks good on your truck!

 

I would still try and drop the CB a bit, it took 3- 3/8”” washers to fix mine. I guess you could describe the noise as a clicking, but both sides of mine got warm after driving a little. So maybe it’s not the same problem.

Do you get vibrations when you go over 80 mph? Cause that’s when mine started to become reaaaally noticeable

And the washers fixed it.

 

Drove to the Powers Garden trailhead. Got her all muddy... what a grand site!

 

Looks like the fuel sender in my project truck is dead, gas level gauge is inop.

Now the bed is like, six bolts. Is it easier to remove the bed to access the fuel tank assembly than to drop the fuel tank itself? I'm going to go pick one up at the junkyard and I don't feel like getting down and dirty under there.

 

What led setup did you used for the cupholders? Been wanting to do something similar for a while now.
