I was looking at this diagnostic tool. Does anyone have it? What can it do and what are it's limitations? Is there anything out there that works better? PC or droid maybe?

Have you had much time to tinker with this? Interested in your opinion. I'll need to reset the ect learning of my transmission when I replace it and apparently this is the only way to do it. That's a lot of coin to drop for a one-time use.

Have you ever looked into getting a Mini VCI cable and downloading Techstream? I have it and it works great.

Reading through the procedure on how to initialize the transmission, it states it is with the intelligent tester only. Doesn't seem like it's possible with techstream. I have a mini vci cable, but not the techstream software.

The write up I was reading may be an older version, and newer versions of techstream can possibly do what I need.

I wonder if Techstream could do this. I can do allot on my 2015 Xrunner, Air Bags, TPMS, and Traction control. Too bad I don't have an automatic I would check.

Actually it seems like the newer versions of techstream supercede this device from what I've been reading and do pretty much everything this handheld does via laptop software and obdII.

DEFINATELY NOT ONE TIME USE! All my friends with Toyota's use it when they have problems too. The user interface is terrible and it is quite difficult to use but *I beleive* it does some functions nothing else can. Also, all the Toyota service documents refers to it if you've seen those pdfs before. They are around on the internet and you can also get a TIS subscription.

Hi all, maybe someone can help me with this. I just got a used IT2 from EBay, downloaded the manual. I connected it to my 2006 Tacoma and the IT2 seems to auto detect my Tacoma as a “4-runner”. I got it to help read SRS codes, because the airbag light has been on the the past year, but the reader is unable to detect SRS on my truck, and unable to look for codes related to SRS. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!4C51DF59-824B-4F9F-A687-2FABD24E0E3C.jpg9B6ABB2E-9A7C-41E2-BF36-B0E64A429149.jpg62D20D3A-33BB-4BBD-A80B-5DD7D51777CB.jpg80913BD7-1C68-441E-8545-3FD5E5DDE0AA.jpg
