Are you rebuilding the stock arms? A lot of effort there without much gain. Are you lifted?

And I just re-found a torn CVJ orange, high angle boot. It is split right on the ridge, the smallest ridge. Not very many miles on those boots and axles. Not really sure what caused it but I'm thinking trail debris is the most likely cause. It's not high angles.

Monte actually spotted it first last fall. When we were in the Big Horns IIRC. I had forgotten about it until I saw it doing the Tundra brake upgrade a couple of weeks ago.

Nope, installing SPC LR UCA’s. Currently lifted 2.25 inches up front, just looking for that factory feeling...

I’ve become very partial to Stranahans, it’s a Nice balance between scotch and American/Canadian whiskey flavor-wise. Not cheap, but you can still treat yourself to a bottle every month or two.

I haven't been overly impressed by Stranahans while down here. Might need to give it another try.

If I ever make it back that way I will b ring ya a bottle from the distillary here. Give crown another try, its tasty. Try crown black with dr pepper. That is my go to at the moment.

 

I recently tried a bottle of HCM, simply because the American market was only Jameson and Tullamore Dew for so long. For the price I thought it was a good value, the clean coal taste of Irish whiskey, and maybe missing a little of the complexity of Jameson, probably not aged as long. Stranahans has some of the smoke of a single malt scotch, with the brightness of a young umber less aged American whiskey, it’s quite the combo.

 

If you can get the edges of the cut clean you can usually superglue them with no ill effects

 

Interesting, I also drink Crown and quite enjoy it, but I only ever drink whiskey with a splash of water or one big square I’ve cube. The other thing I will say is no two batches of Stranahans are the same, per their own admission, she some batches are better than others.

 

Real men don't mix whiskey with...shit.

Psshhhh such a joke lol. I like whisky straight, dont get me wrong. But I also like to enjoy the flavors it has with other mixes. That and I drank so much JD straight in higschool that it almost ruined whisky as a whole for me.

 

Sersiously? Has this been done before? It is a very precise split. It might just be worth investigating.

 

Silicone just super glues really well because the cuts usually are really straight and easily cleaned because of the really low porosity. Just get a fine tipped bottle to apply it, and if you can get the split in position to hold itself closed it should heal nicely.

 

@Digiratus, I'd recommend this stuff, I keep this in my OSK for rainy days, it is really strong, possibly just as strong as the boot itself

Jeez, they are proud of that stuff... What is the viscocity of it. I recall super glue being fairly thin/runny.

 

I shouldn't have said super glue, normal super glue would be short lived. I use this stuff in place of super glue cause I always have to glue things that super glue doesn't really work on. This stuff is kinda thick, think slightly looser toothpaste.

 

Sounds good, just let me know. I'm good with stranahans, but will need to stay the night if we crack that. Not going to try and drive back from Dubois after a glass or two of that.
