Im looking at getting the Icon coilovers and the DR series remote res shocks for my 06 prerunner sport. I already have a 3'' lift but want to replace it with quality. Does anyone have any feed back or expirience with Icon? I asked in a diffrent thread and all people told me was what coilovers and spindles were. Thanx, I got it. I need product reveiws from peeps that have had their stuff. And I found that Icon makes UCAs. Everyone says go with Total chaos UCAs. But how are the Icon UCAs? Anyone have them or tested them out? I only ask because they are twice as much as the TC ones. WTF?:p

Ive had the Icon COs for about a month now. No complaints at all. I got the TC UCAs with it and I love my set up. Ride is still quality and the lift looks good and performs good too on dirt roads and trails. Highly recommend this set up.

I have the Icon coilovers, UCA's, and rear resi shocks and custom built Deaver leaf packs and I can say that my truck rides better than any other taco I have been in. I had the same setup on my '98 also and it was so good that when I got the '06, I spent the cash to have it all on this one.....It is worth every penny. But that is just my opinion so do with it what you want....

How is your alignment? I was told that the camburg UCA's are not adjusted for the specs needed on a lifted truck....they are just a tubular copy of the factory arms..

i have a close friend that works at the alighment shop, he did mine pretty close last weekend one side was perfect and the other side was one or two points off, reason was, when i measured the clearance on one side it was 8 inches from tire to fender and the other one was 9 inches, so i went home got my wrench levelved it out and now i will go this weekend after i put on my muds to redo the alighement, its free:D

Very true timmer.....mine handles great and I even have the front sway bar removed. I have more up and down travel than factory but that is because I bought the extended travel coilovers. I believe all the arms have about the same travel. Depends on what is the limiting factor....I know that my coilover is the limiting factor on mine so if the UCA is the limiting factor for others, then yeah I guess the IVD UCA's do travel farther... The only thing that I would change about my whole setup is the length of the rear shock...I need about another 8" of down travel to keep up with the springs....

Wrong. The Camburg UCAs are made for about 2.5" lift and will give a much better castor angle than stock. They also have a different ball joint style that will allow more travel than the Total Chaos or the Icon(donahoe).

Donahoe(Icon) shocks are decent, but I'd look to Swayaway, fox, or king first. I hear a lot of people blowing them up offroad. And frequently.

where did you find this? All the info I have found states that the TC UCA's are good for 3.5" lift, and they add almost 1" of down travle. I know the Icon UCA's dont add anymore travel, but the TC's do. I even compared travel when on a lift via cycling the suspension full up, to full droop.

Yeah I would like to know where you got your information....everything I have been told was that the camburg arms do not have additional caster built into them....I don't know, I really don't care at this point.... and who has been blowing up the Icon's because they are not on any of the boards that I frequent....and that is alot of them... Also what ball joint style are you talking about...they all use a 1" uniball. They use different grades and makers of the uni-ball, but Camburg, Total Chaos, All-Pro, Icon, they all use the same type of 1" uniball..... Maybe you are correct, but I have never heard that so I would just like to know where you are getting this info.....

ohh ok.... I have just heard of the downey tactics of marketing. where they blast into a forum and slam everything they don't sell with a bunch of crap that nobody else has heard..... Like I said, I personally have not heard that the camburg arms had the extra caster built into it...if so, good I know a few folks that liked their price but if they didn't help caster they would still have to save for some that do.... I will call and get the info and let them know....

Looks like TCF called out Jerry on the TTORA board.

Jerry is a smart guy, no doubt, but he IS out to get sales of his product. FWIW, do some reasearch, you ill see there have been more problems with Camburg stuff than TCF or Icon.
