I'm just so glad that someone is actually finalizing a product, instead of starting it up and then disappearing like the OP!

Very interested in this setup. I really want to a see it with the ram mount. Looking to mount a Ipad 12.9.

    2 concerns.

    1. Will it be rugged enough for that much weight
    2. Will I be able to get enough downward angle to have the iPad sit lower.

Looks great, I'll be watching this

This would work. You can hang the iPad down if you prefer.

In-Dash hidden universal mount, RAM compatible.

@TurdOR89 - what is the thread on your Ram balls? 1/4 or M10 x 1.25?

Thread is 1/4 typical camera tripod mount thread size.

I am looking forward to these coming out. How strong do you think the mounting system is? I am considering putting a wider washer/plate behind it to spread out some of the weight.

I think they're still prototyping/building it. No ordering yet.

I put lock washers behind my two screws just to be safe. That being said, it probably overkill on my part.

Money in hand, waiting patiently. Great idea here boys (doesn't matter who started it, it's all about the completion).

I have the same basic design that I modeled and 3d printed for personal use. I don't have the skills or facilities to machine these myself but I can order them through partsbadger.com for approximately $30 each (50, orders, 3 week lead time from PO).

I'm going to hold out on opening that alternative up to people to give @Lostsheep a chance to pull though.

Thanks @Lostsheep. I finally got this mounted. It’s a beautiful piece.

I will probably move my holes that I made in the plastic. I think there is a bit of arc to the plastic so I will bolt down the ends of the bar, so it will sit perfectly flat.

I plan to get two screws 1/4x20, 1/2” longer than the ones provided. I will screw from underneath the far driver & passenger holes so that the screw sticks up 1/2”. The. I will
Screw in female RAM balls. This will enable me to use the two outside holes for a mount while still having them hold down the bar.

Will post update pic when the balls come in.

Yep me too. Though, too much longer and I'll just make my own. Nothing that some bar stock and thread tapping can't fix.
It's sad to see that this has been nearly 9 months in the making.
