Are there any competent alignment / mounting and balancing shops in Huntsville area. I took it to Tire Engineers today and they are scared to touch the alignment and scared to mount the tires

 

I use NTB, they aren't afraid of it...and you can tell them what you want and how you want it and they'll do it. I believe the others here may use Firestone?

 

It’s not the store, it’s the tech. Go to the counter and ask to talk to the alignment tech (away from the managers and paper pushers), you will find out real quick who knows what they are doing. Look around until you find the right tech and get a lifetime alignment at that shop.

No. But when one needs fixing you have a backup, lol. Hence backup vehicle.

I found a 2001 pre-runner. You'd know how to work on that if need be

 

I'm really leaning towards a 4runner at the moment, would just give me some alternative possibilities to what I have now.

 

That is true. More room for pups as well

 

exactly. my pups like to ride in the cab so the 4runner can let them be inside with room in the back for those quick trips for hikes and such around here. the tacoma is a bit of a pain for the pups.

also with a simple roof rack I can stick the hardshell tent onto the 4runner with no modifying.

 

I have inspired so many to either make the jump from taco to 4runner or to at least have both.
