It was a second Gen issue through all years so I'm sure the 18's are no different.

Yep, not everyone will have issues. But it's a good preventative measure. If your lifted, sooner or later you will.

That's fair, there are just so many that do have issues it seems inevitable overtime with lifted trucks. My brother put 10,000 on his before replacing the bushing.

I have a 16 that had the front diff replaced under the service bulletin due to the vibration. The technician said the the new unit was definitely different. The vibration is gone after that replacement. So if it does show up let them replace it with the new design. And it’s possible that the 18s have the new design already. Doubtful but possible

Unfortunately, I do not have a build thread, I'm more of a lurker gathering information and posting up when I think I need to.

I have over 30K, on stock bushing, no vibs or noise. Been lifted at 3" since 2011. Now have full plate bumper and steel skids with sliders. Only lost 1/2 on the lift, will replace bushing when it starts to fail.

I truly believe this is isolated to a small group of third gen owners. Also the ecg bushing seems to be a temporary fix as many have reported the sound coming back. I have a 2” lift on stock barring with no issues and i hope it remains that way.
Anyone know if there is a recall or active TSB for this issue?

It's not a defect, so no issue to Toyota. If one is noisy, they replace it with another. It's just not ideal for those who lift.

Apparently others have the same issue on a 100% stock truck with no lift. That sounds like a defect to me. But then again there are individuals such as my self who have their truck lifted with zero issues. Who knows, not my problem until it is lol.

I'm at 100,000 kms or 66,000miles, give or take on the stock bushing, lifted since two months after owning the truck. No issues.
