If you don't mind spending some coin, go to Uncle Jack's Meat House in Duluth.

    I mean no harm

I know there are lots of things in ATL, just not sure what is better than what.

Where you are staying is important. "Atlanta" covers a big geographic area.

That puts you near Norcross, I'd guess. That makes Blue Moon Cycle real easy. Dominick's is a good Italian place there. I'll see what other things I can think of and report back.

Personally, I don't like going downtown. The traffic is difficult and unpredictable. But, if you don't mind it the High Museum is excellent. For swanky shopping Ponce City Market is cool. If you like a hike go out to Stone Mountain and walk up the mountain. If you're feeling really adventurous go up to Lake Lanier and rent a boat (Holiday Marina is probably your best bet there).

The Vortex has some damn good burgers, Anticos has very good pizza.

Those are the only two main places that aren't too expensive but very very good

I don't know The Vortex, but you're right on about Anticos. He imports all of his ingredients from Italy.

I pretty much stay in the country away from there as much as possible, unless I have a meet/show. I'm sure you're in good hands with these guys from up that way

Exactly what I was looking for! I'm a young city kid (28) that travels a lot for work so I try to find good places to eat and a nice place to have a drink and chit chat with a pretty lady :)

A lot of great lists here for you @ItsRichieRich I’ll add Hankook taqueria or takorea to the list. Korean inspired tacos, which are my wife’s and mine favorite spot.

Haha anytime! I live 45 min north of Atl and when we first moved up here back in late 90s, we’d always take visiting family down there for the touristy stuff... Then as soon as I turned 16, we were down there for live music (and after a “souvenir license” from the Atlanta Free Market in Little 5 Points), we were there for the bars and parties!

My sister and a few good friends live there now, so I still like to get down there on occasion. I just hate actually getting down there with the traffic and all... But once there, we always have a good time!

It’s a cool city, there is literally something for whatever you’re into. There are definitely some rough parts of town, so keep your wallet close and don’t give the panhandlers ANYTHING... It’ll start a feeding frenzy if you do haha!

If there is one thing not to miss for first timers this would be it. Bill Murray, Anthony Bourdain and Woody Harrelson are all fans.
