They share the same rear springs as far as I am aware so I doubt the squat would be any different.

Black plastic fenders are ugly and they fade.

My 1st gen fender flares still look pretty good.

Also makes the truck look "higher".

It's not a true limited skip. (Mechanical) It's brake traction control. Which the off-road has a better version of as well.

Just a little 301 protectant a couple times a year. BTW that 1st gen has never lived in the garage, it's spent every day of its life outside, just like my 3rd gen.

I know what you're talking about with the faded plastic though, jeep fenders are the same way.

Garage has this inside, my manual transmission driver. That car is 19 years old.20151023_135243_resized_1.jpg

Is fuel efficiency an element of concern?

Is there a reason the Sport you chose for your post was a 4x2 AC and the OR was a DC 4x4? Because in the same config, they have the same ratings.

And then the configs have the same price as well when using similar models...

So one question from a taco noob looking into a sport at the moment. Seems many of these comments hints that the trd 4x4 sport isn't off road worthy because of the locker? If not serious wheeling, isn't the sport still very capable off road? Also whats this "rear end" referring to? I heard the sport has a smaller one, but the sport in MT is the same size as the OR?

Sport is very capable off road. More than capable of getting you in trouble. Or out of it. The OffRoad just adds a locker to the equation. Either truck is fine. Rear end is the rear diff.

Sport is fine off road, just don't do anything crazy. I can't believe the locker only kicks in at 4l. The most fun with a locker is 2wd That almost is better to get a aftermarket
