Hello, I am looking for some insight from those that have purchased Fox 2.5 coilovers,(for a 2nd gen)and did not have them revalved. “Stock valving” so too speak. Just looking for opinions either way. Thanks

What would you like to know? Immune are how Fox sends them out. 2.5 non resi extended travel front C/O's with 2.0 resi rears.

Found my Fox 2.5 fronts perfect on the streets but too soft on the trails. Too much bounce coming down off rocks and uneven terrain causing the skids to bang into things they shouldn't have touched. 2 inches of threads netted 1 inch of lift. Rear 2.5's had no issue. Down South Motorsports revalved the fronts to be a bit stiffer and swapped the 600lb springs for 650's. Feel more bumps on the street now but great on the trail. 1 inch of thread give 2 inches of lift now.

Surprising they come from Fox with 600lb springs. Not enough support IMO even for a stock truck. 700lb springs seems to be the ticket if you're running a front bumper and/or winch.

Also found the DSC adjusters to be a waste for the rear. In the rear, I went from standard resi's to resi's with DSC. They've stayed on the softest settings and feel fine on and off road. Better investment if used in the front.

Same setup I’m looking to run. Are you happy/unhappy with the stock valving? Thanks for the input everyone!

As of now I'm happy w/the valving. I have a heavy front bumper & have to have the coils adjusted to the max recommended setting by Fox (1.925" of exposed threads) to get ~2" of lift. I'm pretty sure after sliders & winch are added I'll have to go up in spring poundage and/or length. Not too happy about that. I want firm but NOT stiff. It's going to be a juggling match.

I would say 1-2 steps too soft for both rebound and compression if you off road, for the dunes 2-3 steps too soft.

I have 2.5 DSC and they were way too soft on the dunes, a little disappointing, but had them go up 2 steps and that much better and I'm going up 1 step this spring. I may go to heaver springs also, the 600 seam a little soft on the dunes.

No, my front end is stock, just a china light bar... Running 8.5" 4.75 BS wheels with 285s....
They are valved for the street not off road, I was a little disappointed buy how soft they come but some places will revalve the new shocks right away for you and it's an easy fix...

You gotta look up Ryan at Accutune Off Road. I’m waiting for my set of Fox to arrive from their shop to replace my coil and 6” spacer. Really excited to see how well the Fox rides with my drop bracket.

Wound up re-valving my shocks myself.
80 with a flutter valve and 85 rebound. I also went to the 650 pound spring.
Compression is great for dual purpose street/dunes, full compression only on big hits.

It still needs a little more rebound, a 90 or custom "95".
Can't decide if I want to go to a .015 on the first shim or not.
But know I have to add some .020s in the stack..
