Meanwhile guys are dropping $400 on a CAI

What is the possibility that these guys took OVTune’s 1.02 tunes files and just make the minor adjustments for the individual vehicle specific pieces? I believe prior to 1.03, none of OVTune’s tunes were encrypted so nothing stopping someone from doing this.

Plausible.. but I thought the hardest part was "cracking" INTO the ECU code itself. Having the code alone does the tuner no good if it can't be loaded. Just guessing though

They (hackers/computer guys) have had two years to work on it so it may be more widely known how, heck there may even be YouTube video on it. Lol

I'm not pointing any blame or accusations.. Our 1.02 stuff was not locked.

Replying to inquiries about price but no information at all about the tune, development, etc
Claims of no transmission learning, huge horsepower gains... I would assume would have a laundry list of development details.

You are not reading correctly sir. Bottom two lines are torque and top two lines are HP. It makes 100hp at 2100 at the same time it makes 40tq

I agree. something's off here. it takes a mountain of work to get into this ECU and make sense of all the complexity - and this from an experienced tuner across many platforms. Regardless, if they are serious I'd expect to see some details surrounding how they achieved the gains stated in some level of detail.

Luckily you have the latest and greatest on lock-down so hopefully if they are working on an older version and making minor modifications OR even better, have found their own unique, different approach to compete with your product. I share your skepticism....

    Their "tuner" is third party.

Just what I was thinking . There is always someone out there waiting to rip people off if there is profit in it.

I suggested that they should...to discuss their process and details about the tune, but they said that a lot of that information was "proprietary"

I also asked if I could talk to the man or the brains behind the tune, but he said that it would not be possible, due to the third party nature of the tune. However he did state that after the flash, they would fine tune and make minor adjustments....which was a little confusing, if you get what I'm eluding to.

Not really trying to bash them as their product could be legit, but the conflicting info and lack of transparency makes you wonder.

Hopefully, they can join the forum to clarify some things.
