My day hasn't been that good, the Gun shop that I ordered the Henry lever action from called today and said his web site was wrong and that he didn't actually have the Rifle that I ordered in stock. He wanted me to give him a week and he'd credit me back if he couldn't find it.

 

That sucks and I don't see how that could happen why would you advertise you have something in stock if you don't have it? I mean I get it if you're a big box retailer and I don't know how big this gun shop is but the inventory is definitely going to be a lot smaller so it should be much easier to handle

 

Knowing absolutely nothing about his business, I'd say it's far more likely to happen with small business than large ones. Large ones can afford proper inventory management systems the integration with websites. With a small shop inventory is all done by hand, often by one person. Much easier for mistakes to be made.
