I wouldn't worry too much. I've never had problems since I've been running them.
There's not that much mud. There's only a couple spots with mud. The rest is rocky or water
It's only muddy in a few spots. The rest is just water and rocks. I've never seen it completely dry.

    Trail Description
Starting at the north side of Black Lake, this trail Loops around and hooks back up with the south trail. Nice mix of rocky terrain and tight technical off chamber sections. Mostly rock bottom water holes with lots of tree cover over some awesome Canadian Shield scenery. Something completely different than the Hydro-Line Trails.

    Terrain Type
Mix of Terrain, Moderate Off Camber (15-35 deg), Rock, Steep Rock, Tight Sections, Water 6
    Truck Requirements

Use the Ardbeg trail from the town of Ardbeg west

I may have even done it...Issue is I always followed other vehicles and never tracked where we were going. Now that I finally have the trails I have an idea....

We actually both got sucked into the tree on that trail. But his damage was a lot worst than mine. We were able to pull my dent with my suction cup go pro mount. lol
The flooding incident was on another trail further up the road.

Come mid April I'll be back in Ontario. So I'm up for an Ardbeg trip anytime after that. Plus anyone who just wants to come see what the trail is like is welcome to come as a ride along.

was just watching videos of it.
Might try it, see how ballsy I'm feeling hahaha.

Its something I'd feel more comfortable with a winch since most of the videos I've watched are of guys getting stuck with 35s...
from the looks of it theres two or three really muddy water crossing areas that are just shit

I am going to have to try and stay calm this spring. Now that I can change my own tires, as soon as the snow machines are done I am going to be getting stuck on the VMUTS lol

All you need is a decent tow strap for the guy behind you. lol @NorilskSever
I've never needed a winch on that trail. I've been through it 3 or 4 times now.

Have you guys pushed your Tacoma’s to complete the south or north trails in ardbeg? Curious what one these trucks capable of as I have done a bunch of the trails in ardbeg and completed the south trail from beach to Kirkham rd on my little Yamaha TW200 was a lot of fun but did it in middle of summer and ended up running outa water and was very dehydrated by the end.

Bunch of my buddies I go up with are Jeep guys and always ragging on my Tacoma as a road queen (which is fine cause I bought it to tow not off road). But last fall I seen a bunch of Tacoma’s up there (I know was a meet from this site as talked to a gentleman with a broken leaf spring at the general store in a second Gen Tacoma I was on my wifes ATV at the time a Blue sportsman) and was curious how far one can get these Tacoma’s to go. Maybe shut buddies up a bit lol.

Here’s a pic of what my modded TW200 Looks like (taken at the mine on the VMUTS trails in mattawa on)06EED77C-31DA-41BC-A08C-5B783A2EF01E.jpg

    Time for a winch....

You talked to @Thyces bad luck with the leaf that weekend for sure.

You can complete it stock as stated. And even some of the harder obstacles can be done with a lift and skinny pedal. Skids are ideal.

Damn didn’t think the Tacoma would manage some of those harder rock sections closer to the end by Kirkham rd. Was not too bad on the bike...... But had to physically man handle my sisters 2wd ATV threw a few sections and my brothers Stock TW200 conked out on a couple water crossings. Took us a Long time as well but again that was mostly because of the ATV.

Panoramic of a short break taken along the north trail on our last fall trip.

yeah I hit down pretty hard on some rocks, just have to pick ur lines and hope ur choice was good hahaha I did have a Bullet Proof Fab steel skid up front, its just like the TRD skid but made of steel instead, it did its job but got bent out of shape pretty badly, so I bought some real skid plates this winter haha

I am very demanding about the ride quality, since I spend lot's of time on the road. KBros weren't good for that, noisy, hard to balance, they hydroplane on the highway as well, @Joe23 can say the same about them, for the price they cost there are better options.

About the Black Loop, it's a fun trail and there was mud only at the entrance, so once you pass that area the rest will be piece of cake. But expect to take some damage, because you might slide while going thru the mud. I am thinking just cutting those god damn trees there :annoyed::sawzall:
