Yeah it’s really the worst way to settle the game.

That being said the US was the better team in that game. They deserved to win it and if Canada can’t find a few good speedy forwards for 2022 then we are fucked then too.

Yep the US were much faster most of the game.

Reffing was brutal with the non calls, but some calls like a few of the trips against Canada were obvious calls. Refs gave a penalty to Canada in the last 2 mins of OT so I doubt they were bias, most likely just incompetent.

 

Shootouts exist to end games that need to be ended quickly. You shouldn't need to rush a single final game, period.

That being said I'm glad this morning the US won. They were the better team. If they had lost I'd be wondering WTF they have been doing wrong for the last 10 years lol.

I guess now Kessel can borrow his sisters Gold Medal lol.

 

It's all up to the men now. Rene Borque has been a monster and needs to keep that up. Too bad Scrivens was knocked out of the tourny. He was playing great. The backup though showed the Finns he is the real deal too.

 

Team USA deserved to win the game last night but seriously , would you want the Stanley Cup decided by a shootout ?

Not a hockey fan, but y'all may have gained a follower after last night's game. The women's final was the most entertained I've been watching sports in a looooong time. Does NHL ever get that intense?
