When you're a Teenager or in your early 20's, maybe. Once you get North of 30 that mantra is how you get injuries. There's discomfort/fatigue, and then there's pain. Pain is something you should pay attention to, really.

Yeah, my '10 had a slider and if the bed was empty it was great. If I'd used it for anything lately, though...not so much. And since the '84 is a work truck, it's always got loose crap in the bed. Sometimes it's literally crap, haha!

I second that, there is always a limit to what you should put your body through. I've noticed a huge difference from being in college running around playing ultimate nearly daily and going to the gym for ~2 hours 4+ times a week to now where I haven't been in a gym for almost a year and my workouts are bombing hills on a board or bike

 

Rats. That's what I've got currently. I might have been interested if it was the 3 bar; the 5 bar is a pain in the a** to wax

 

Blue Jeans! I had the blue jeans, I got rid of all my chrome though and went blue and black. Hey, if those bumpers get rusty let me know! Mine are southern bells and only say about 8 months of use!

 

I'd rather have a shot & a beer, though. Margaritas are too sugary.

Yeah, When I was in my 20's I used to play a few rounds of ultimate or flag football without warming up or stretching out first, and the next day I'd be fine. I played 2 rounds last summer and the next day my legs were stiffer than a teenager at Hooters, even though I still run regularly.

I'll keep it in mind, but I have the bad habit of trading vehicles every few years, so these might not get the chance. Right now I'm drooling over pre-emissions 3/4 ton diesels on Ebay and Craigslist, and I just bought this truck in September of '16

 

Fish oil will help your joints and mobilize before and after. Those will make a world of difference.

 

The not stretching after my runs is whats going to get me. In my late 20's and I stretch for maybe 3 minutes before I run, but during the week when I run at work I don't have the time to do a proper stretch/cool down after. So I have some water and jump straight in the shower. Works for me now, but definitely not sustainable for the long haul.

Didn't know that. I thought fish oil was more for helping prevent heart disease. Might have to grab some if it helps with joints and mobility as well.

 

That's so weird, I never have anything in the bed of the truck...

Reality bites man... I remember my first day back at work after my son was born. Not afraid to admit I cried like a little baby. No, not because I had to be back at work (even though that alone is reason to cry), but because I felt like I was leaving my wife and newborn son at home, by themselves, helpless... felt bad about doing that.
