    Hey guys

I have a bad wheel bearing.

Is $395 a good price for getting one replaced? Can we do it at the SC Mod Day?

if they are just unbolting and bolting the new one back on no. If they are pressing the old bearing out and new one in then yes. There is a lot of labor difference between the 2 installs.

    Example
Your typical GM car/truck has bolt in hub assemblies avg book time is 1.5hrs
Your typical honda has press in bearings avg. book time ~3.5 hr
Multiply this by the shop rate gives you your labor rate.

SC just decided like 10 months ago to allow reciprocity with NC even though we allowed theirs for much longer

What has been going on there? Any particular areas to stay away from? We are going straight to a house on the beach.

I would go north or south of myrtle. It’s just not what it used to be. I definitely wouldn’t take my family there.

Nothing recent but it’s nickname is Dirty Myrtle. If you stick the house and surrounding area, you should be fine. There are much nicer areas to vacation at.
