8B024482-BCD3-43AE-8202-A5D8CBAED3E8.jpg Anyone have a full front pic with the 255/85/16 vs stock? I’m trying to figure out what tires to go with. Just bought a 2018 quicksand. Have the factory putting the 3/1 leveling kit on Friday and trying to figure tire size. Was originally thinking 285/75/16 but have seen a lot of people having rubbing issues. So it’s got me thinking.

I know I'm a second gen, but here's a good frontal pic to show the width. These are the cooper st maxx mounted on 7.5" wide tundra wheels

I think the pic in post #1044 in this thread is on stock OR wheels with a spacer.

You'll probably need spacers to clear the UCAs with either of those sizes on stock wheels.. I had to use them to clear mine with the 255s, which was surprising cause skinny.

My truck is a few posts up the page.

I dont think I have a full front pic post lift + spacers but there is a head on pic in one of the first posts in the thread, just imagine that with the tires bumped out a little bit. The spacers are 1.25" Spidertrax.

Thanks. This is a hard decision. I don’t want be go to big and just be too rough riding and hard on the truck. But I want bigger more aggressive looking tires. Hard to find a happy medium

Go 255. I've owned both 285 and 255 and I prefer the 255 in every aspect. Only place the 285 has a slight edge is aesthetics, because I like a wide tire. 255 still looks awesome though

It really is, but wheel width plays a role. 285s are too wide for stock wheels, so people generally run wider aftermarket wheels. The wider wheel makes the 285s look even wider. If you ran 285s on stock wheels, it wouldn't be too crazy width wise, but you'd need some small spacers to get off the UCA.

Here's 285s. Look wide as hell

    and again, some 255s
