    Unfortunately not. The noise that it makes is really just indicative to the power of the actuator. Some have noted it but others will say that it is no louder than perhaps your door locks locking. We do not advise an altering of the devise but some people will make modifications to dampen the sound such as a dynamat to the interior of the tailgate.
