well see, i went in on a BBP fully loaded offroad about a month ago that had 1k miles and they wanted 40k and they asked what id pay that day and they wrote up paper work for 32k. seems like they wanna deal. you got a bitchin deal on yours. im good at 32k for a base offroad with tech. super easy for them since i dont want any other options. im only 22 paying all cash for a truck must make them seem like they are gonna get me but ill talk to your dealer if they arent interested haha

How would print it on a trailer avoid their sales tax? Only because I'm not registering it in their state?

Also people seem to think they would get a better deal if they brought cash to the table. Not necessarily. Its not like buying a home. Car financing is relatively easy, and worse case scenario, TFS will give you a loan (rates depending on FICO). You finance/lease with TFS, surely the dealer gets a kickback. You pay cash, the dealer and captive financer will lose out on interest.

My boss bought his Audi through Audi Financial. Then promptly paid off his loan 2 weeks later. He said they were more willing to negotiate on an inhouse financed deal.

I've purchased vehicles in a different state before. Taxes are subject to the state you register in. Doesn't matter what the taxes are in the state you purchased.

everything we've bought has been transported to our state because its only 3%. anything from our ACR, hellcat, barret jackson purchases, etc. they have all tried to get sales tax in that specific state where it is. Get it transported or trailer it yourself to your state then you pay your own sales tax. thats just from multiple purchases and hasn't failed yet.

I can be in Montana in 3 hours, they have zero sales tax. They would have the biggest dealerships in the world of you could drive 3 hours to pay zero sales tax vs 9.4 percent in WA state. That would be about a $4k savings.

its funny when you go to a dealer and tell them you dont want to finance and they wont give you the time of day to make anything work. stealerships work in mysterious ways haha

thats why alot of exotic cars you see have Montana plates, buy the car and have it registered in Montana to avoid taxes. like you said its where you get the car registered but most dealers ive seen them scam people into paying their sales tax. thats why im saying we transport cause then that voids anything they have planned

by no means trying to start a shitshow, just what we've done from what we've experienced. Everyone car buying scenarios are different.

Didn't think that. I'm just fairly certain you pay tax for the state you register regardless. My parents just purchased a $200k motorhome. They would have loved to drive any distance to skip WA sales tax, but it wasnt possible.

I walked into a dealer. Sat down in the hot seat. Keep in mind, they havent yet checked their allocations or asked me how I was paying.
Dude hands me a finance form to fill out. Says he needs it for basic info to hand to the manager. Im like wtf, Im a previous customer, you already have my license info from the test drive, why do you need me to do a credit app? How bout we find the truck first then talk number. Then fill this shit out.
    Cant stand dealers.

oh i completely agree. same thing happened to me, im like i havent even told you what i want yet im not filling that crap out yet haha theres a dealer in durango thats been extremely helpful and they seem pretty nice to work with. the dealership in ABQ, i sat down and the manager told me im retarded because i didnt wanna finance with them and i asked them what rate he was giving me and he told me 13% and i laughed and told him i have 1% through my family and our connections with the bank from our company so if he wanted to match that then we can talk and he just got up and left and that was the end of it. Dont try to be big bad car sales man cause i dont play that shit. honestly would have bought the truck i was wanting outside that day if he would have just listened to me instead of trying to shove their finance down my throat. i think dealerships forget that we are literally giving them money for a simple deal but they wanna play games and add tricks in. drives me insane.

Received photos today from dealer on TRD Pro. Gives me an ideal of what the chrome tube steps look like... Wonder how difficult it would be to change them to black with Lynex or something similar. Will update final price when I get back home to work out all the details. Just two more weeks.

I don't see you getting a whole lot down from there. Maybe another $500, depending on what else is installed.
