I was out there a few weeks ago. We picked up a motorcycle in Fallon NV and then headed to the hotsprings. We camped by the tree sorta across the road and up the hill a little bit. We figured being that it was super bowl weekend no one would be out. It turned out a shit load of other people had the same idea.

Never been out there, but VERY interested. What are the legalities of popping up the RTT and just staying the night out in that area?

Edit: one down side is the whole place smells terrable...really...don't go there:thumbsup:

If you continue past the hot spring, go over the bridge and up the little hill there are a whole bunch of campsites on the left amongst the trees. I believe it's a "campground" of sorts...there are signs for it.

I actually think up there would be better for camping than across from the parking area where I camped. It got pretty windy at night. At least up in the trees you'll be sheltered.

There are also a couple sites on the left just before the bridge.

I've been there a bunch of times and have never been bothered or seen any kind of ranger or law enforcement.

I go over to the east side a lot for backpacking and like to stop by there for a soak on the way home. It pretty easy to get to and the water is super clean.

The best part is the river. Wade out to the big rock and stand next to it facing down streem. Lye back in the cold water for as long as you can stand it and then get back into the hot tub. You can brace yourself with your feet against the down streem rocks.

Sierras are full epic hot springs. Best be on the down lo when you find a quiet one. Bridgeport isn't one of them - still a great spot.

    I like to share.

But I also am selective in what I share, when I share it and with whom I share it with...

    Yup, same here.

Also, some places were shown to me by others who requested I don't share.

Like one of them is pretty common knowledge but I did agree not to share on the interwebs.

For sure. However, there's no need to broadcast stuff.

Also, luckily 39 million (just a random guess) will never venture beyond the mall.
