The Premium and Tech package cost the same on both the Off Road and the Sport, both will have a color matched rear bumper.

The Pro was designed for people that don't plan on modding the suspension.

How about a new question, which is an offshoot of OP's.... if you were planning on modding suspension and lifting the truck... would you still choose the OR over the Sport?

It depends if I were going to be doing serious off-roading or not.

Can OR owners easily buy a colored bumper? Serious question as I might want to buy OR but can't stand the chrome bumper.

Easily? Yes, it's just a basic body part.

I figured lifting a truck, upgrading the suspension and getting bigger tires is usually with the intention to do more serious off roading? Again, I'm a noob at this off road stuff.

It's a wash because you're changing out springs and shocks for both if lifting.... depending on the lift.

2 levels of bulbousness, the scoop and the raised area the scoop sits on. It looks terrible imo. If I really want to spend money on a aesthetic hood, I'll be going fiberglass to reduce the weight and get the proper look without the weird bumps. It will also be cheaper than OEM. There's other priorities on my build list before a scoop. I still want one though!

If you get a OR with the group 1 package it’ll have chrome bumpers ends...you can buy them in “trim black” and paint them...but if get group 2 or 3 package on the truck,it’ll have paint matched bumper ends

Yes. The OR would still have the crawl control and locker AND a better suspension.

Little more than $20.00 per month for the base package if you’re financing the Truck. Not bad!

IMHO, that is an approach that I wouldn't take. Just speaking for myself, I only change big ticket items when I find that they don't work. If I found that I couldn't get to places that I wanted to be, only then would I consider a lift.

In either case, there is no great difference between any 4x4 Taco that would make a lift or suspension mod any different.

The chrome is just two plastic pieces that can be resprayed.

If the OR includes the tech package the rear bumper is color keyed to the truck.

As a previous 2wd toyota pickup, and 5lug 1st gen, and a 3rd gen OR owner, I would say giving the SR/Sport trims Trac in 4Lo certainly undercut the OR market. Had I known they had Trac in 4Lo, I might have gone SR....

I was so sick of 2wd and fully open diffs.

It's not aesthetics that we "bitch about", we like to make our trucks pretty, it's the non-functional equipment we cringe at.
