What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

The actual connector on the fuel sender. I pulled mine out and this is what it looked like.

 

Just checked the one I bought, doesn't look like that. I'll be pulling the one off my other truck later and checking how it looks.

Did you remove the bed, or dropped the gas tank?

 

Isolated that god awful squeaking noise. It's my bypass valve.

 

Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. I’m lovin’ it!

 

Im still at a loss with what to do with this damn ps pulley, tried letting the nut sit in wd40 for a day, impact didnt do anything, not enough of the shaft is exposed to get a hold of it.. Is it possible to just stick something down into the reservoir to hold the thing? Ive been driving my brothers truck but of course his fuel pump just went out.

 

could go get a parts store one while you try and tackle this. Or just cave and buy an all new OEM one.

 

Maybe someone can answer this question. Been looking at other peoples prerunners and see they have electric mirrors. Mine has manual - as in stick your hand out the window and change the mirror. Was the electric mirror only an option after 00?

@txmxer are you running SAWs? or did you get something else

 

I think it was 01 and newer not 100% sure tho

I have these on my truck from an 01 parts truck
these are a non power non roll your windows down in the cold option

 

seen a few. They work just fine. Just rebuild them. Also yours have a top plate spacer..id get rid of that. a new 14'' coil would help too if those ones don't hold up the truck enough.

 

my brothers '95 has power mirrors but its not a prerunner.

nah im sure it's a package thing on what you optted for at the dealership. No different the CC, power windows/doors, AC. Blah blah.

 

I think they were a part of the convenience package or w/e Toyota called it.

My grandfather's '03 had manual mirrors/windows/doors, no power options. but my '04 I wanted the power options.

Yeah I have electric windows and doors so figured mirrors would be in that same category

who knows. Toyota was sporadic a fuck with these things with what came with what plus you add in what owners wanted who were buying them new and what they wanted and didn't want to save a few bucks. Its a mixed bag.
