All oil stocks are still selling off right now, so it’s the entire industry. Sadly, Even when oil companies have awesome earnings their stock tanks ( see MRO last week, RIG, etc). CHK is already pretty low, so not sure how much lower it can go.

Everything is so up in the air right now. For me, oil is still trying to find a direction. It’s been sitting at the $60 five or take a $1 for the past month. I won’t buy in til it chooses a direction. With the build in oil inventories the past few weeks, it tells me oil will go down. But then again, it could go up since these stocks have a mind of their own, lol. Flip a coin.

Up 10% pre market.. I still need to get to 3.04 to break even. I didn't average down yesterday because I felt it was too risky. I'll take a good day though!

ROKU meanwhile, exact opposite. Lots of people buying up their shares before earnings... today they are at a 20% loss in share price so far because of disappointing earnings

Bonds are good if A. You think the market is not going to do well or B. you're old and don't want to "lose" money and want to "pay yourself" with the interest... I'm not either of those so I have no other experience :D

I do an "in between".. I will trade several times per quarter but I'm usually "long" in a technical sense... I will buy and hold until I make some good money (usually 10-20% minimum).. then sell and buy again on a dip. I only watch a couple of stocks so I know their behavior and I know... er...am familiar with when to get in and get out. Best to have an intimate knowledge of a few stocks than overwhelm yourself with too many (just get an ETF or mutual fund at that point).

Haha yeah, with crypto being so big now, it's probably got a lot of trading volume and trades similar to stocks. Not quite as "stable" as regular currency.. yet. But it's getting there. If I were to do any crypto trading, I would have to get in on a hell of a dip, then hold long term.. like, really long term.. or obviously, short sell/sell it when it's getting press coverage about how big of a rally it's having.

Yeah, with crypto the market never closes. You can go to bed on a 20% gain and wake up and have a 20% loss lol. At least with the stock market, it closes so people can go home and sleep/enjoy the weekend haha

Look to cash out at some point today, man. Lots of bagholders will be itching to. Then just buy back in once it drops lower.

    Hi I'm the PMs guy,

But, cobalt and palladium hit really good this last year and should keep going.
Both are getting harder to mine and starting to hit supply issues.
I have to look into them a little more... Don't know if this is the time to buy or not...
But, need to keep on the radar.

Yeah, same exact thing happened with SNAP about a week or two ago... 50% gain on good earnings.. been shedding ever since.

I held LIT for a while, got a decent gain.. then it started tapering off so I got out. I'm bullish on Lithium long term though.. but there's speculation that there may be an oversupply

ThunderOne your full of shit. I'm retired and up in age. I'm 100% vested in the market and only buy stocks that pay dividends. I went through the crash in 2008 and lost 50% but still got paid dividends. You put you CHK under your pillow and tell me how much you've gained in one year.

    Awful hostile now are we?

But you're from Pell Shitty... so, not surprised.

Check your attitude at the door. I have no alliances with CHK.. I simply buy it and sell it. Why you're being an angry little man from a boring town is your problem.

You buy stocks that pay dividends because you are "up in age".. this is expected behavior. Move along.

No. I bought dividend paying stocks years ago, because I know that one day I would like to retire with a very comfortable living. Check into a DRIP program. Very good program to invest in a retirement. I don't make fun of where you live, so grow up.

Damn, man. What’s with all the hostility? Everyone can do whatever the f*** they want with their money. Who are you to tell someone how to invest THEIR money?!?!
