That's pretty hard core, even got IR. Looks like this dude dropped a lot of money in a relatively short period.

 

The guides out west do that a lot, like him they get sponsorships and what not. A lot of the western states require you to go with a guide service to hunt big game so there is a lot more of that out there than there is here. IR has really gotten cheap over the years as it's technology and popularity have increased. I have an IR/night vision scope for hog and coyote hunting. A buddy of mine has a camera on his boat for navigating the inlets in the pitch black that comes up on his Simrad system.

...I don't know. Price of PVS-15s are still the same as they were 4 years ago. Once you go 15s, you don't go back.

 

Eh you don't need the fancy uber nice crap to shoot some hogs and yotes. If I were doing some spec ops then shit yeah give me the best of the best.

Ok well maybe not fancy but super rugged and top of the line and simple so that there are less shit to break. They are like trijicon are for battle optics.

You are right the prices have not changed much in the past 4-5 yrs. But the # of manufacturers and price range of night vision has changed a lot starting about 10 yrs ago give or take. Technology changes have made them easier to manufacture and such plus there is even higher end stuff than the pvs-14 that there weren't really 10 yrs ago.

I like them a lot!!! I have a couple aimpoints . I would really like a Trij. But long range is keeping my interest right now.
