Thanks to everyone, who contributed to this thread. It's been super helpful for me in finding a cheap option for an OEM pro grill.

Did you have to recalibrate the sensor after installing the new grill?

I have a freind who is a Toyota tech and told me it’s supposed to be recalibrated also. Have to say I personally don’t buy it, going to disconnect the battery and hope for the best I guess

Disconnecting the battery won't do squat. The sensor will still work and won't throw codes but it won't be as accurate if it was to be calibrated. Personally I think it's money well spent considering it's a safety item.

Disconnect battery won't do a thing.
    I didn't recalibrate it.
Adaptive cruise control works well. To me It's no way to know if works the same as before or worse. So it's personal preference if someone wants to get it calibrated. To me it's enough to know it's working well. Keep enough distance from car ahead break and accelerate wit traffic. That's all I need.
When I was installing it I noticed the radar has 5 screws to hold. So to me it is hard to install it wrong or out of focus.
    But again everyone own preference.

The same thing happened to me. I wonder why they have started doing this?

This is their message to me:

"Thank you for placing your order on
Route 22 Toyota , Unfortunately, we're unable to fill your order as the product
is unavailable and your Tacoma TRD is not a PRO , We will be cancelling your order and a refund will be processed in
    the next business day. "

Additional FYI, I ordered the grill and radiator cover from them and they called a week later (yesterday) and said these items were not available and they were going to cancel my order

Why don't you find a friend or someone who has a "pro" and use their vin? Or better yet -- go to a dealer that has one and write down the vin. Or one more idea --many dealers publish the vins on their web advertising sites -- just use one of those. I would bet that the dealer won't cross-check anything.
