I hear ya. I really wanna get all my concerns in writing with the dealer while I’m still stock so they don’t try to pull the old “it’s because of the lift and tires”

Exactly. I heard the dreaded rear end whine today for the first time. Swapping suspension will definitely stop them from doing anything. I just want the chassis damper, but
I don't want to pay for it. I'm gonna have to risk the bearing issue.

I've been complaining about the rear end whine since day one. The techs "can't hear anything." :annoyed: My list of concerns is too long, most have been documented, I'm swapping my shit.

Now whats this chassis damper you speak of???

Mine just started today so it really stood out. I guess as part of the TSB, they change leafs, and add a chassis damper to absorb the harmonic form the rear gear. Also some isolation pads I believe are part of the fix.

Well shit. I’m throwing everything on this weekend.

    Oh well.

I originally envisioned keeping this truck til the wheels fell off. My first 6k miles have me doubting that’ll happen while I’m the owner. Might as well enjoy it as much as possible while it’s still in my driveway.

I love my truck. I'm at 16k and it's been pretty good. Even this howl won't change that. My dealer on the other hand...
Hopefully you can make the truck into what you like.

It started out as a heads up, general question relating about a second gen suspension on a third gen truck. Second gen has a similar thread. Suspension thread has several.

I ordered from Conicelli Toyota, eastern USA. Had it shipped to Sumas, WA. worked fine. What part of the country do you live in ?

They aren't available up here, you need to order to the border. Good excuse for a road trip!
Plus I picked mine up for $550 plus shipping, definitely a good deal
Grew up near Lloydminster on the Sask side.

I got one ... I haven't gone down to pick it up yet. There are a number of shipping companies south of the border that will give you a shipping address at their facility for a very reasonable fee. You just ship to that address, drive across the border, and pick it up.

Or order from a dealership close to the border, drive down and pick it up. That's what I did this time.

Installing them on the truck is pretty easy once you learn the technique to it. Trying to muscle around an entire leaf pack (plus AAL) with the truck only on jack stands isn't an easy thing to do.

Has anyone ordered from oempartworld recently that is not on backorder?

Or did anyone order from there at any point and show a status of backorder?
