    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
We have a pretty nice ground tent for base camping that we will still probably use through this season.

We started think about roof top tent options about halfway through last hunting season. We found a huge pile of (really) fresh bear scat about 1/4 mile away from our camp and 3 +/- week old piles of Mountain lion scat about 300 feet from the same camp.

Ya, I've seen that a couple times. Just would be nice to be a little more inconvinient.

Doesn't really matter either way lol... I don't carry the truck backpacking.

Nice! Who you gonna have install? I'm about to pull the trigger on some 4.88 gears. I'm looking at getting them cryo'd as well. Place here in San Diego does cryo.

@foxrcing07 how did you decide on 5.29? I was contemplating for a split second but my truck is my daily driver and thought 4.88 would be better for me.

So they are for my 1st gen, and it currently has 4.56, and I wanted to go taller
I spent a lot of time using a gear calculator and from stock tire size with the 4.56 to 33 with 5.29 wasn't a whole lot of difference.
Also I drove down to Fresno to pick up a bed for my brothers truck and driving back with the drag of that (we stood it up in the bed) I kept the O/D off switch activated the whole time, because the 2.7 is a gutless little wonder at lower RPM

oh and I got the gears from someone on Offer Up for $200
in my 2nd gen I might go 4.56 or maybe just 4.10

    Sub’d

I’m in Sonora but make trips to the valley pretty often.

I’m up for some wheeling this summer.

If anyone wants to do Niagara Rim, slickrock or deer valley once it gets warmer, I’m in!

I also go play at la grange ohv a few times a year.

Errrrrrrrrrrt! (hit the brakes) Hold on... you have 4.56 gears from a 1st gen being changed out?

I would like to have a discussion on those gears you're pulling out... if you are so inclined.

Welcome to the asylum! We haven't met up quite yet... this thread is pretty new. But I have faith we'll get something going. Crazy tends to gravitate towards crazy. :D
