I live in Kodiak AK. I will prbably have to get these sent to Seattle, the on a barge and spend 100$ just for shipping. OR I get the P rated tires prime.

 

Discount Tire Direct ships to Alaska and Hawaii but we collect the shipping fees.

 

I have that combo on 2017 Sport, only a slight occasional rub under full lock turns. From what I've read it is on the mudflap, not enough for me to consider trimming or removal though.

 

It really depends on where you are. Around me most places charge around $30 to $40 per wheel for installation, and NO discount tire shops anywhere near me.

How do people like these after a few years? My biggest concern is road noise/handling and longevity.

 

I’m thinking about these tires in a 265/70/17 but I’m stuck between the E load and the SL load. What do most people go with? Should I just get E so I dont have to worry about flats as much?

 

Where do you plan on using your truck the most? Is mpg a big concern? I got E rated because mpg lol and I figured the extra strength for when I go offroading gives me more peace of mind. Also not sure if it is true for these exact tires, but I know on other brands the P rated tires wear out faster than the LT, so there’s that to consider as well.

 

I like the extra piece of mind with having the E rated. MPG doesn’t matter to much, i dont think it will vary to much they are 6lbs difference per tire. I like that the tire may last longer too. Still have time to make a decision but I already was leaning towered the E rated already. Thanks for the input.

 

The other thing to understand is e rated sidewalls are stiffer so the ride can be more firm. But you are going up a size so that gives you more tire to act as a cushion. To compare I went from 265/65r17 P rated to E rated 285/75r17, so even though I went E rated the extra 4” of tire makes the truck ride smoother than my p rated tires did. I don’t think you will regret getting the E’s. Good luck deciding!

 

Tires look good, as mentioned before the tires look much more aggressive in person than they look online. I am excited to get them mounted now. P265/75r16. I will be doing the raised letters side out.

 

Just curious, did most people people put the extra raised branding on the sidewall facing in or out? I got them put on the inside. Day two with the tires so far no complaints and they look killer. Got two compliments from random people on the truck in general since install.

Well shit...just ordered a set for my sport. Should be quite an epic change from the factory highway Toyo tires. I'll post pics when I have them. Going up a size to 265 70 R17.
