Wow, not going to lie, this has me worried. I guess I'll flash 1.03 first since there are so many issues popping up now and I daily drive in that rpm range. I don't want constant surging and back throttle respomce.

For those that had 1.03, were there any issues like this with that file?

I sent him another log file, this time during a long steady pull up a hill on the highway in 5th (keeping the rpm in the ~2500 zone). I got it to stutter quite a bit this time, so hopefully Mat can use that data..

Edit: the problem with OBD Fusion is that it only outputs data every ~3 seconds (you can miss a lot in that time!!). I tried changing the trigger from "PID frame" to an adjustable time interval, but you just end up with a whole bunch of identical data if you try to go less than ~3 seconds. Dammit.

@OVTune, you need to buy a "cheap" used OR/Sport M/T and dial that sucker in!

I’ve got about 500 miles on 1.03B now. The stuttering issue seems to have gone away now for me. Not sure if it was fuel related or if it was still learning / calibrating.

Last fill up with the cruise set at 65-70, 87 e0, 35 degrees out.

Sounds good man, I'm on the 1.03B 87 tune with 91 in the tank and will continue to run this way for a while and see what happens.

I was about ready to flash back to 1.03 then it quit doing its thing around 2500 rpm. Probably around 350-400 miles after flashing.

Well shit.. I KNOW I didn't go that far on 1.03B 91 before switching to the 87 tune.

It shouldn't really take that long for the tune to unfuck itself, but if it does I'll be happy.

How bad are your stutters? I DD in the 2k-2500 RPM range and that could get real annoying fast.

So far I haven't had any deliverability issue. I got about 30 miles on the 1.03B. 87 octane.

Well crap... IDK what do do. I'm probably over thinking this, but I tend to do that.

I guess I'll run 1.03b on 87 tune with 85 gas and see what she does for a good amount of miles.

I also agree with this post. I have had the tune for several days now. It's -7Celcius up here in Canada and when the truck is cold the rpm bounces up and down, the truck surges and bucks when trying to be driven cold until its completely warmed up, unless I rev up the truck to 1200rpm and out the clutch the truck will behave somewhat til I come to a stop then the bouncing rpm starts again, this goes on until the the temp guage is at the quarter or first mark. Its almost feels like the ecu is confused and cant adjust or correct itself in this cold weather. It also feels like the fuel cuts out. I also get random surges between second and third as well when full warmed up. Thinking I may try going to 87 or back to 1.03 tune.

You definitely know they are there.. it's not like a faint diff howl that some have to train themselves to hear.
Having said that, your truck may react differently to 1.03B than mine. Some ppl have said they don't have them at all, while others say they go away after a few hundred miles.

So wild that some are experiencing this surge/stutter and some are not. Curious as to why some do and some don't. How could the same tune file act so diffrently on different trucks, yet the stock tune seemed to be the same all on our trucks....:confused::confused:

Ya, I guess when I get my dongle activation key and can start flashing I will be able to offer real feedback. I hope this can get sorted out, but it does seem like the tune is going in the right direction.

Make sure you are only recording the absolutely necessary PIDs. You are limited to the spare CAN bandwidth. If you poll too many PIDs....you are going to slow things way down. I'm not too impressed with OBD Fusion. Lots of bugs that end up reporting bogus data.
