Mind measuring how far that goes out past the bumper? Also, what company or a link.

It's made by TGL. I found it cheapest on Amazon, $52. It has two holes, I have it so it sticks out the least, about 6 inches. The other hole makes it stick out a couple more inches. Seems pretty heavy duty and made well.

I absolutely love them!! I never thought I would ever replace the decals until I saw these and had to have them! My fiancé literally told me tonight that I love my Tacoma more than her. All I have been doing lately is mods lol.

@jLEE028 i used a dremmel with a sander band to scuff them up. That chrome junk is tough by hand and i was not into spending days on prep work for this haha. After it was scuffed and cleaned i added clear adhesion promoter and primer, then a few gloss black coats finished off by a couple of gloss clear coats for a very clean end result. I recommend taking your time with the coats and using plastic paint to avoid any issues. I Hope this is helpful and best of luck if you decide to do it. Dont forget to post up some pics for the fellow followers :)

These are badass man. Was debating something different for the bed myself and now that i see these i know it would be worth it so thank you.I have the same issue with my other half, always saying i spend to much time either doing things to it or searching for things to do.... the truck never says a thing ;) haha

Me and husband sitting on sofa one evening, he’s reading a book, I’m reading on the iPad.

Me: oohhhh myyyy. You are a sexxyyyyy beast!

Husband peering over top of book: Are your girlfriends sending you pics of men in kilts again?

Me: No! But look! (Turns iPad to show)

Him: Umm. Thats a truck bumper...??

Me: Yea. But Look at it!

Him: rolls eyes, goes back to reading.

Three months later it was installed on my truck!

Thank you for the thorough review. I've been thinking about doing this as well but have hesitated. I just ordered some plastic razor blades to help along the way and some adhesive remover. I love the way the truck looks without the vinyl there. I'll be doing this when the weather warms up here. So a blow dryer should be the only special tool I need?

I had a blazing blue 3rd gen, then decided to get a 4x4 (yea stupid, won't go into that) but I got an inferno. I've had muultiple people say how they like the color choice much more and it's more manly.

I understand that people can think the orange looks nicer than the blue (both are equally nice IMO) but orange more "manly" than blue? That seems backwards...

Took off my air dam this past weekend. Slowly building this baby to be exactly like I want it. I'm working on getting an SR Grille (i love the looks and at this point they seem to be more rare than the Pro grilles) in the next couple weeks. Planning to remove the vinyl between the windows. Got my note from my eye doctor to get darker than legal tint. Wife is getting my ventshades for my birthday in March. Parts are coming along!

I used the wifes blow dryer on high because the temps outside were upper 30's low 40s that day. You can overheat it and will start to shrink LOL. Overall, now that I know how easy it is other than the blow dryer and good adhesive remover, nothing else is needed. Not sure what a plastic razor blade is but I can assume by the name. Those might be nice to get it started but you wont need them once it gets going.

    Good luck. Have fun.

Thanks man. Love your truck, by the way. One that I use as inspiration for mine.

:hattip: Thanks Mitch. This really is a great forum, SO many cool trucks on here. So many nice people.

Here's a mod that I upgraded the other night (hmm, just said that to myself, I am modding my mods now o_O ). I had the @mesojdm version 1 LED Map Lights and Ultimate Dome and replaced the version 1 map lights with the Version 2 Ultimate Map Lights,. They are brighter and aesthetically match the dome. Not the best photo but.....

    20180221_202427.jpg

    You can find them here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/custom-led-map-and-dome-lights.521923/

    There are other colors.

Here's another mod you might want to consider. The same guy does blacked out LED turn signals for your side view mirrors.

    20171223_140209.jpg

I'm working on removing all the chrome bit by bit. These though are smoked lenses (not painted) and better/brighter LEDs than stock so there's the safety factor too. LOL

I'm liking the look of the Morimoto fog lights. Someday I'll get around to blacking out the headlights.

Yea, those are bad ass. I was checking out some knock offs on ebay. Considerably less so scared to pull the trigger. Any pics of yours at night looking from the cab of the truck down a dark road? Just fogs......
