My wife's 2018 4Runner is a TRD Off Road Premium uses a regular ass key to start it. No push button shit, no parking sensors or lane departure shit or assistive braking. It is fucking awesome.

 

I'll be honest the push to start has grown on me and I quite like it apart from occasionally misplacing my keys in the truck.

 

No heated mirrors either.

 

Mounting work flood lights on the sides, yeha just checked out that a piller channel, fits in there pretty nice

 

It does have heated mirrors. And a windshield wiper de-icer.

 

I am a member of my neighborhood's "Next Door" or whatever website. Almost DAILY someone from the Police department posts "Hey, dip shits, stop leaving your cars running in your driveway. XX were stolen this morning"

 

Emily typically carries the keys in her purse when we're in her car. I've dropped her off and it'll just beep every few seconds and the dash says something like "key not detected". I've never REALLY tested it, but I did drive around the block once.

 

North Westy is just up the road from me. They had their van stolen from in front of their shop one night and the thief found their GPS deal, but not until after the location had been sent to police.

Police caught the guy inside tearing up the dash.

Yeah, I normally avoid doing it but the whole 22 degree morning thing made me willing to risk it. My hope was that the fire station next door with usually at least 1 cop car in the parking lot would be a deterrent but I guess not.

Mom has a 2017 TRD off road base and doesn’t have heated mirrors yet has heated windshield wiper
