This would be better through PM so do me a favor and PM me with a photo of what you're seeing. The bolts are supposed to be stainless steel, not just plated. To be honest, this is the first incident we've heard of possible rust. PM me please.

@SCSPerformance "Hey, don't post anything about us online that could be a problem, send a private message and I'll answer it"

    Op"Here you go"

    scs "...."

Op "well, here are the pics"

Don't even care about if it is rust or not and where it's coming from. Not impressed with @SCSPerformance's response here.

It's just funny how fast they tried to stop any negative word about them getting out, denying it has ever happened anywhere...then went dead silent after you showed them proof. Not funny for you, but funny in a sad way.

I get your point, but the were much quicker to tell him to send photos than they are with any response. How long does it take to say "yup that's rust on our bolts, what's your address I'll send you replacements"

@Bridge4 - Have a little something against SCS?

Nothing wrong with settling an issue via PM over publicly.

    Happens all the time

Nope, never dealt with them. I have stated pretty clearly on here what I think it wonky, no reason to PM them.

Well, it would be like if I bought a toaster that was defective...and went to the news station to air out the issue.

Why wouldn't it make more sense just to go to the manufacturer/where you bought the item?

Yeah I agree. But OP did NOT try to talk bad about the company, just asked for a bolt size, literally did nothing bad. Then SCS said "Hey you need to PM about this" so he did, then was ignored. If they hadn't jumped so quickly into the discussion and try to force it to PM, and then not reply for a much longer period, I wouldn't have ever commented.

I think your comparison doesn't make sense, because OP wasn't complaining about the company, just asking a question. Also, the company has a dedicated vendor rep on here, where the toaster company has nothing to do with your local ABC channel.

It's just weird because OP didn't tag SCS or anything.

Luckily they are active and take care of their customers and saw this in their section.

Anyways, I'm out. Yeah, the toaster thing was silly. Good luck OP!

In all honesty, I believe he has some merit. He posts a new thread and SCS finds and responds within 6 hours. Its now been around 24 hours that SCS to some degree was expecting communication. I do know that Vin can get slammed with emails and what not, but considering the perception of urgency from SCS I would have expected something by now as well.
