    If you’re gonna do 1,000, you don’t want to need more later, 5,000 makes more sense..

    I love what you're doing!!! I want to purchase these headlights too and mod them (because they'll need to be). Any chance you'll do a how-to write up? Any chance you'd be willing to make/sell the above brackets for those of us who attempt this as well?

    Goods slowly trickling in. Props to @memario1214 for the morimoto stuff. If you need some retro components he's your guy!

    Other than that, I'm all about morimoto!

    Hahah they came with the kit. Main focus is fabrication and retro, always swap em out later. But even with those bulbs, 4 outputs at a once will be just fine

    Yeah true, I just hate the "greenish" color of morimoto bulbs. Tell your buddy to check out osram CBI's or the new gen 2 Philips Xtreme vision. Both are excellent bulbs from my experience.

    Oh for sure. 4X CBI's = $$$. But this is an all out build so perhaps.

    CBH's ftw. Course you'd have $700 in just bulbs.

    I second CBI's! Love the pure white color and they actually have come down quite a bit in price since the release of the CBH's

    Another update;

    first I wanted to address the big ugly "glow bar" OEmassive has as the DRL. 2 things bothered me;
    1) it stuck out unnecessarily far
    2)it wasn't blacked out enough

    Here is how it sits stock:
    [IMG]

    I trimmed the back tabs which let it sit further back in the channel and now flush. YEAAA
    [IMG]

    Tabs that were trimmed
    [IMG]

    Next was to tone down the big white ugly thing.
    I contemplated the best route on this one without diminishing light output. I settled on masking off the front;
    [IMG]

    Traced and cut. FREEHAND YO
    [IMG]

    And after some matte black. This will cut down on all the ugly white and still give me a nice "window" for the LEDS to shine through
    [IMG]

    test fit. Now were getting somewhere
    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Next is the side reflector.
    Go all out or go home right?

    To continue my BLACKEDOUT theme, 1/8" smoked acrylic is what I'll be using
    [IMG]

    Into the CNC
    [IMG]

    All done.
    [IMG]

    The slots in the middle are groved from the backside. This will allow the LED strip to fit in. as seen here
    [IMG]

    Test fit on the side. NICEEEEE
    [IMG]

    Then onto my high/low beam brackets.
    I modeled the OEM ones to get a perfect drop in fit
    [IMG]

    out of the printer. Projectors line up perfect!
    [IMG]

    The backside was honeycombed for reinforcement
    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Next to the OEM
    [IMG]

    Thats it for now.. this is a very custom process so it takes time to do it right!
