Why you break?

I punched the horn/steering wheel in my 5 lug once. HARD. So hard I made the horn come on constantly. I was driving down the road saying to myself "Well, fuck. I'll just pull the fuse". After a couple of minutes of messing with the air bag/horn, it went off. Horn worked properly afterwards.

Or the next mud hole, or more road salt, or the shit eebay wire breaks again.

It's an aftermarket horn. Stock horn was too weak for me.

Now I sound like an overzealous clown car. But it's loud af!
It's just an issue of crimp connectors and cheap wire breaking. When I strip off the jacket, either the strands snap and come out with the jacket, and then I get dusted with corrosion.

I soldered every joint there was, that was possible to do so. We'll see how long it holds. Breaks again, I'm going to get new/better wire.
What gets me is that the wire that's been on the shelf in my garage and in my truck is just fine, strips easy, doesn't break off.

Birthday weekend!
