For sure. NHL playoffs are about as intense as it gets. Stick around and give it a shot. But the women's game was great. That has become a fantastic rivalry.

You already missed the best hockey that will ever exist. When NHL players played in the Olympics. Nothing could ever, or will ever come close to that level of play. They sure fucked things up this year!!!

Agreed. Canada versus USA in Sochi semi’s, Canada versus Czechs in Japan, and Canada versus USA in the finals in Vancouver were some of the greatest games ever played.

Keep in mind I wasn’t alive for any of the Canada versus USSR games way back in the day. Plus, even though those games defined Canada globally, they were played between fat off season Canadians and Russians who were scared they’d get shot when they got home. The modern Olympic NHL series games were fought between players all at the NHL level and in mid season form.

It's a bit surprising given the Germans weren't great at the beginning of the tournament. Thank god our solo Olympians showed up because our teams definitely didn't this year.

So a bunch of stuff the Pens didn't want plus a pick for a 3rd line center. Fair.

Apparently the Leafs and Bruins tried to get Mcdonagh off the Rangers but the price is sky high.

Ya. Th goalie was never going to play here, with Murray locked up and 2 very good young guys behind him. Cole was going to be RFA anyways, so Ottawa will prob just flip him. Plus, we needed to move a roster player for cap space. The draft pick sucks to trade but you have to do those things when you have your window to win

McDonagh would be awesome. I can see the price being high though, for how important he is/was there. Would be quite an addition to Toronto. Aren't they strapped against the cap too? Would probably have to move a roster player to get him, I assume?

Lots of room because of LTIR:

    upload_2018-2-23_13-42-35.jpg

I think the Rangers want a 1st, a prospect, and a roster player with contract. I've read they asked for the Leafs first, Kapanen, and Brown. That's a lot for TO to give up for a player with only 1 year left on his contract.
