I am, but I have a shell plus ~80lbs of gear in the bed at all times. I have the recall leafs with about 8k miles on them.

If that's not good enough after everything settles, Wheeler's 5-leaf HD pack is going in.

Might be a dumb question but how much rear lift can the rear shocks handle? Would 1 to 2 inches be too much?

Ok, i'll tell you my story, so you can learn from my mistakes, lol...o_O

About 18 months ago, i installed 5100's at 1.75" and air bags since i tow stuff regularly. At 5-10psi, what you want just driving around, i was just a hair nose high on my 3+1 leafs (the already had 40k on them), even with my extra 120lbs of weight up front. So i used my bags to bump up an inch. It rides really stiff this way, but i can deal with it for the most part, its not all that bad. I should have done an AAL for the extra 1.5" (with OL out), then my bags could have been left at 5-10psi and only aired up when needed. That would have given me the height i needed and provided a better ride. I also should have done Daystar cradles for offroading, you will want those too, if you ever off road much.

Anyway, once i started researching AAL with the bags and cradles, i came across the below thread. Turns out Firestone designed the brackets for the bags with the old 2+1 leaf setup, so your brackets are short, and need extended. You can either bolt an extension on or weld one. Not a big deal.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/official-firestone-riderite-lift-thread.279865/page-9

Anyway, i plan on either getting an AAL and cradles or whole new leaf pack (as i now have 85k on leafs). I also plan on adding to my brackets to reach my axle. Its really not as bad as it sounds.

That all said, i'm doing all this, because i really do love the flexibility the bags add and they have been great otherwise. Its great being able to tow my tractor or trailer or whatever and not be staring at the sky, then air back down.
Even though my brackets are about 3/8" short now, it hasnt been an issue yet, but i plan to correct. There is a pic somewhere on that thread of someones falling over, although their gap was much bigger.

People really seem to like their aal and it ships free. If i dont go all new leaf pack, thats probably the route i will go.

Just got the kit installed yesterday, measured it out and its sitting about a half inch nose high. Do you guys think it will settle back to level, or should I just go for an AAL now? Also, I know no one on here is real fond of blocks, but would a 1" rear block have any negative effects? Here is a pic, not the best quality:

Doesn't even have a license plate yet!
Does seem a little nose high, but it looks damn good!

Are your leafs stock? If so, you might just replace the pack with OME Dakars... Think that's what I'm going to do with mine since they're sagging something awful.

I like some rake, so i vote aal. Not sure it settles that much, but maybe it will get you there. Hope you never tow or add a load to the back reg.

I wont comment on block... :puke: lol

The more i think about it, the more i am leaning whole new pack, with 85k on my stockers. I just dont notice them as much, with the bags.

Are these able to lift up a 2gen to 3” of lift up front? I see some post that this only raises it 1.75 and with an additional spacer from toytec it doesn’t quite make it @ 3”. I guess my question is, has anyone tried getting a 3” lift off of these?

You can use spring perch spacer or top spacer for extra 1", just be prepared to do new UCA too, with 3" of lift.
