Hey can anyone recommend a shop to take a 14 Lexus IS for routine service that is not the dealership? Yes, I am 100% aware it is cheaper and more convenient for me to do the work myself.

They did my radiator and belts on my cruiser, did my head gasket on my old t100 too. I wouldn't hesitate about going there for maintenance.

I'm thinking about getting an older 4runner and SASing it. Anyone on here have experience with this? Up until now I have only done suspension upgrades, no SAS experience.

If you can grind, weld, bend tube and have basic geometry knowledge you can do it.

I was able to get the coilovers and rear shocks installed. I havent done the AAL yet. I was in between tackling it myself or having a shop do it.

    Are you local to Seattle?

Make sure is Ifs torsion bar set up it will save you money on a steering box. Sords sas kit "I used on 1 truck" has the front hanger that bolts up to the front crossmember for alignment purposes.

After the 1st truck we drilled then plated a sleeve or tube in the frame to mount the front spring shackles. This eliminated the infamous death wobble.
Pull tape 30 times cross squaring, tack then cycle the suspension and pull tape again.
If i was to do another "eventually my tacoma" I would 3 link the front and 4 link the rear.

So do shitty connections at the ECU.o_O:frusty:

Found a plug that goes into my ECU that is all jacked up. Trying to find a plug to replace it with and repin, or find another truck to hack the plug and 6" of harness off of to pigtail.

Not going to buy a transmission just yet. The CEL came back when I was sitting in my truck idling with the floor heater cranked and there's definitely something that is hot/cold related fucking with the wires on the passenger side kick panel where the ECU is.

Was reading over some wiring schematics noticed which wires go where and their function which have a role in feeding the TCM the info it needs to determine shift logic like, MAF, engine coolant temp, intake temp, etc.... Those sensors are wired into the plug I've found and they're janky.

I think you can lock it when running if you use the physical key from the fob on the driver door lock.
