Dude, my life is so upside down lately. House is going through a complete renovation. My mind has been focused on so many things. House designer has us travelling around to so many different suppliers and showrooms. I have no time to think. House is half destroyed, down to the studs. Two months of hell, but I guess worth it in the end. My calculator is about to explode!

 

Seriously feel your pain man. I'm sure it'll be awesome when it's finally done. If you live that long

 

Definately a happening thing!

Never thought it would be this amount of work. Everyday we need to pick out something, right down to the wall switches. All good in the end, and the contractors have been great, we move forward everyday. Got the kitchen sink, wall colours, and dining room light fixture today with our designer. Tomorrow is bathroom sinks and shower fixtures, I just want it all to end. We still have (infinity) to pick out, just want it done! Wifey just reminded me, kitchen faucet tomorrow too. Ugh. Not due for 3 weeks, so why??

 

Ya, retiring from work in the next couple months, so we'll get to enjoy it for a while. Company offered an early incentive package we cannot pass up on. Both me and the wifey work for the same company, it's very generous. I'll probably go back to work somewhere because I'll just get bored. We are 59, but we don't have to work anymore, but I'm sure I will.

 

Yeah, my job with those kinda things is to just agree with whatever my wife says/wants . It's worked for 35 years, knock on wood.

Nice. Congrats. Hope you find something you want to do. I retired at 59 but boredom is not an issue. Fuck the 8 to 5. I had enough.

 

Ya know, I think the same sometimes. We can buy a house on a lake and I can just go fishing everyday. But then I think she can't do that, so my mind reminds open. We'll see. It is all about the motherly thing she has with her kids, even though the youngest is 25. For me, I have nothing keeping me here in the city, which is just a pain in the ass.

We went for a ride this morning and saw these under an abandoned gazebo . I thought the same in that I wondered what would happen if they were turned on lol.

 

Hardly ever see them here. They get wrecked by 75 mph wind gusts.
