Goddamn my rear axle looks wide as shit going down trails, doesn't look so wide when it's parked. :notsure:

Also I should stopped for a photo on that big ass ledge, I took it so gently it didn't feel that tall, didn't think much of it when I locked everything to pull off it.

I told you it looked wide as hell by the time we hit the first gas station! Still jealous of it. I'll be getting one soon. now just the debate of the 60 or 9" from currie.

That ledge really didn't look that big going up it until you were on top of it. It just hit our wheel base perfectly to make all 4 tires climb at the same time.

Naw, I'm talking about the one you and Russ stopped at to take photos of, it looks like 1 of the photos is of that ledge. I think there were only 2 places I locked the front, that steep hill with the boulders in Lockhart Basin and that big ass ledge we ca off of in the Needles and it took all the weight of my rear axle.

Oh yeah that one. it was big and DEEP!!! when i stood in the bottom of it my head was level with the hood. Also, 35's helped bridge that gap a little more

Put a lot of thought into it if you're going to spend the cash. I'm curious to see if they can actually make the axle with the specs Jberry requested. If they can adapt Tacoma bearing flanges to 3.5 axle tubes I would have had them adapt a RJ60 VXR axle and put one of their trusses on it.

Are you and Mike going to have your bumpers before April? I revalved my rear shocks already so hopefully my March trip isn't non stop rear bump engagement. I'll have that trip to test them out before April.

Exactly what I was thinking. I’m waiting to see how @jberry813 turns out with his axle, then I’m just going to call up Currie and say send me one. Also depends on price vs benefit. 3.5 axles are a definite want. Just not sure about the trusses.

I’ve tried to get a hold of Brute Foce to check but have t head back. We are now at 13 weeks lead time now...

Hopefully the valving does the trick and you don’t have to go back and revalve again. I’m still waiting for ADS to get back to me with my valving shims. I called them after I got back, because they do not have shim packs for sale on their website. While talking to them, he asked me about my trucks weight and my driving habits... then said I’ll have one of my tech get back to you on what we think you should do. It was also KOH week and all the techs were out at the hammers.... 2 weeks later, no call back. I called the again and same thing. They won’t just send me a shim pack without advise from their techs.

Did Currie give you a ETA on your Axle? My yearly bonus from work got paid out and I have a stack of cash ready to burn. Just want to see the difference between your axle and @tetten HP60.

@tetten - What is your work schedule like the next weekend? I need to pick up those bump stops from you before the Utah trip.

I'm on graveyard until March 1, then gone on another trip until the 7th

Not sure if it's worth anything, but Currie quoted me 7-8 weeks IIRC. They were dead on accurate too, unlike most custom car parts companies.

Damn. there is no way I could have one set up and on the truck in time for Utah.

Could I swing by and pick them up from your wife? or is she going to go with you on on this one?

I'm available this weekend, I just have to be awake when you show up. If you swing by next weekend I can put them in a box for you to pick up from my wife.

Which rear bump strike plates are you running? I was using the icons since they have a little tab that sticks out, but I think the allpro ones will work too
