    Build update:

Lots of parts have been ordered/installed over the past 4 weeks.

ARB dual air compressor. Mounted this in the cab behind the back seat. Did this for two reasons; I wanted it out of the weather and protected in the cab. It’s a very durable unit and I haven’t heard of anyone’s failing because it was mounted under the hood. The second reason was to keep as much weight off of the front core support of the truck. It’s flimsy, thin cheap metal that cracks and fails over time. This solved both of those problems. Downside, you hear the compressor in the cab. But I can deal with that.

16” procomp wheels. Going down from a 17” wheels that was on the truck when I bought it.

New 315/75R16 Treadwright tires. Giving these tires a shot. Only $195 a tire with a 12 month full road hazard replacement. I view tires as a consumable. Sure, I was about to buy BFG KM2 but at $1500 for a set of tires that MAY last 30k miles at best or before I destroy them, I can buy two sets of these treadwrights for the same price. So I figured what the hell, let’s try them. If they suck, then so be it. If they withstand the abuse I’m about to put them through and can get an “acceptable” mileage out of them then even better. I’m not horribly concerned about weight, road noise, balancing, MPG or tread wear. It’s a mud terrain. All of those qualities are total crap anyway. As long as they can keep up with my driving habits, I’ll be happy. This tire change started back a few weeks to blowing the sidewall outta my Duratrac. Surprise surprise. Given it was entirely driver error and I clipped a rock I should have going faster than I should have been out in Joshua Tree.

Picked up @tetten 2.0 king bumps and mounts.

Ordered the archive shock relocation kit

Ordered 12” 2.5 king triple bypasses.

4.56 gears and front ARB locker from east coast have been installed.

Brute Force HC rear bumper w/swing out picked up and powder coated last week.

Gussetted spindles from @glorifiedwelder finally installed. This guy is the man for your spindles.

New front brake pads while everything was blown apart as well.

Huge thanks to @BAMFTACO for letting @Mike likes Tacos and I take over his drive way for two weekends in a row and then some for the install of everything. Thanks to Mike as well for helping out as well. Tons of work in a short period of time in prep for a 10 day Utah trip that I had to bail on cause work got too busy. So instead of getting awesome pictures, I give you standard mall crawler pictures.

Next up will be getting better flex in the rear with the new shocks and relocate kit. After that I’m gonna leave the truck alone for the summer and squeeze in as many trips as possible. After the next year, I’ll readdress the truck and see what changes I want to make next and improvements needed.
