Do you get half off on the tune if you only ever use half the rev range?

How empty should the tank be if you want to switch to the 91 from 87 Tune? I should be around 1/4 or less of a tank. Headed down to run the Mojave Trail and was thinking of going with the 91 Tune for it.

When I put the blower on I was stupid and filled up with 87 before hand. I went driving for a few hours and killed almost the entire tank, filled it with 93, then drove it some more. After the install I went easy on it until I had emptied the tank and refilled it again.

You have to read your ECU data with the handheld tuner, email that file to OV, then he emails back the adjusted map.

    OVTune,
Any rough estimate when handhelds with pre-set tunes will be available for 2nd gens without a supercharger?
    Thanks!

Ah. Ok. I don’t have a tuner yet. I’d just found out my calibration ID (3YWG2800) and exchanged emails with Mat about it. He said that he’d get it added to the list. But, I haven’t seen confirmation of that yet. I was worried that I’d missed something else that I needed to do to get this party started.

I received my Tune N/A 2 weeks ago. It took 2 weeks to receive. He’s playing catch up. Not sure if you don’t already have a handheld.

    Some additional feedback.

    Some mpg for folks wondering.

    N/A tune

Flashed 87 ran 3/4 tank with mix of highway and city and lots of “testing” snagged 10.8 mpg boa OBD fusion. Horrible.

Swapped my rear diff fluid with Amsoil. Just wanted to note that as it was done right before 91 flash.

Not apples to apples not headed down from Bay Area (SF area) to hit the Mojave Trail. So far a lot 2 tanks of gas and heavy wind. I hit total mpg of 15.2. I have not seen better than 14.7 since life and tires in a year. Now I have 2-300lbs more armor and loaded for the trip. First time work higher octane as well but if folks were wondering it’s been great.

No access to a dyno bit the “calculated” HP and torque off the OBD reader we’re nice. Not sure how accurate it is but peaks were low 300’s and high 200’s. Really looking forward to the dyno test.

There is a decent difference between 87 and 91 tunes
