Ok Guys, I'm going to be working on some mods to my rig tonight and tomorrow. I am really hoping to get some 285/75/17 next week. I'm not 100% yet but I'm pretty close. 295/70/17 would be the other option. I had 295's on my old truck so I know what they look like. I'm interested in seeing as many pictures of 285/75/17's as possible. Yes I weeded through the 285/75/17 threads that always turn into 285/70 threads, and seen a few pictures here and there. I want a mud tire and to my knowledge only Toyo, Nitto, and BF Goodie make this size. However I am open to pictures of AT's in this size as well.

    Thanks in advance.

Yea I tried that site a time or two. Same thing. Most of them turn into 285/70's. Or they pull the same post I have already searched here on TW.

Thanks though. I always appreciate a smart ass!

Ahh. I see what you're saying...sorry about that! In that case, this site may be more suited for what you're looking for. There seems to be quite a few 285/75/17's there. Good luck!

285's for ya. Ridge grapplers on 17x8.5 SCS F5. Sorry for the driveway pic, I work too much to get out like I should right now.

FWIW, riding at about 2" in the front, CMC, pinchweld beat down, camber set to 2.5 with SPC/LR control arms, and I had to cut about an inch off of the fender at the rear lower corner. I've flexed it out lock to lock with the forklift but not really offroad yet (I'm anticipating finding more areas to cut and beat.) As of right now I'm not rubbing.

Compared to the 265 KO2's they replaced. Don't want to give the wrong idea here, I loved the KO2's and have no complaints but wanted to give the Ridge Grapplers a shot.

Forgot to add that I also reformed the wheel well liner with a heatgun.

This is what had to be cut. I intend to clean the edge up better after I make certain I am not rubbing anymore.

I have 285/75R17 Ridge Grapplers on my truck. I will try to get a couple pictures posted this weekend. I did not need to trim my rear fenders or do anything to the pinchweld like Lostsheep but I have more lift. I did need to slightly trim the bottom corners of my front bumper. I have the SPC UCA and have 3 degrees caster on position E. I had a CMC done at the same time my sliders were welded on but the tires don't come anywhere near the cab mount.

    Spindle lift ?

Mine is 4wd so full stuff is the same regardless of lift (sans drop bracket lift) and I wheel this truck so I need lots of clearance; rubbing is unacceptable to me so I did everything preemptively.

Sounds like your high caster might be keeping you off the rear of the fender; or maybe you need to stuff it more. Could be my wheels’ offset too.

Yeah the SPC arms allowed me to position the wheels further forward so I don't have clearance issues behind the tire. I've been tempted to get a steel bumper for more front clearance and going up to a 35" tire. LT285/75R18

@65skyturbo , what are you doing for a spare? I know that you can squeeze a 285/70/17 under the truck but not sure about the 285/75.

What’s your alignment specs? I just installed my 285/75/17 have the cab mount chopped. 2.5 lift and going to 3” once my bumper is ready to get installed. Hammered down the pinch weld and it’s rubbing the body mount. Help!

I'm going from memory so bare with me ...

I have 2.5* caster, camber and toe were pretty close to zero. I am running SPC / LR upper control arms with the ball joints set to move the tire forward. I have been able to hit the firewall but I ran into a rut straight on at 40mph lol
