Awesome. That is what I was hoping to hear. Not worried if I have to remove the mud flaps. Truck looks great.

Love these tires! They are amazing in snow. Found myself driving in 2 wheel drive in snow that would have needed 4 wheel drive before. Mileage hit hasn't been too bad either.

Also, if you can keep the mud flaps do, these tires throw up a huge amount of road sludge all over the side of the truck. I am thinking about adding mud flaps just to try to keep it cleaner.

Set up looks perfect to me. We have had our share of snow here this winter, and IMO the stock tires are OK; could definitely be upgraded.

Maybe shave them down, smaller mud flaps, or install some sliders to help out with the crud being flung up on the side of the truck.

I ran my stock tires to about 25K. They did fine fore me even in Utah but once the white stuff started falling and they were down to 4/32 i had to make a change. Probably spent a year debating on what tire/wheel to go with.

In all of my previous trucks that I have lifted I always went with Nitto Trail Grapplers. I really like that tire as they have always served me very well. I am going to look into a few different tires this time around, as there is a decent amount of options. Although when it comes to the 255's, the selection is somewhat limited in both the 16" and 17". Always good to keep options open and see what arises when I finally pull the trigger on new shoes.

You get better mpg and lose a little less power with the 255 over a 285 correct?

Theoretically, yes because there's a smaller contact patch, i.e. less amount of rubber on the ground. This leads to less rolling resistance. I can't directly compare the two though because the 285s were on one truck and my 255s on another truck with different driving conditions. Right now I'm getting 15 mpg highway, and around 12 city, which is only a 2-3 mpg loss over stock. Pair that with the 1,200 extra lbs on my truck and that's really not so bad.

Just got mine installed yesterday. Powerloss was less than what I expected. Looking like mpg's will take a slight hit. Not bad with the hills in VT but I do have a manual trans. Truck steering and suspension feels much tighter since I got the inner tubs off, little rougher ride but still no where near my old Duramax.

What's everyone running in the coopers for pressure? Currently 38 all around.

Yes, smaller foot print, less rolling mass and less unsprung weight. Be careful though several of the 255's weigh as much as the 285's. I personally like how the 255's give you a long oblong footprint when aired down and the 285's give you a round footprint. I think 255 have a small advantage on grabbing and rolling over object and the 285's have an advantage in sand and mud due to floatation. Just my 2 cents.
