I'm thinking they possibly fixed said issue.

22psi? might be why you dont get a good footprint. I've taken mine down to 15 rear, 17 front. With the weight i will now be carrying with bedrack and gear I'll proably need to go to 17 in the rear now. But otherwise never had any issues.

D rated is an 8 ply vs 10 ply like the E rated. and C being 6 ply.
So its somewhere in between the E and C rated. This will be my first D rated so it will be some trial and error at first. I know that doesn't really answer your question, but I can't actually answer since I don't know yet.

But I figure with the D I might actually need to go to 15psi all around to have the same affect as I was with my C rated. First trail run will be interesting to see. general rule for me though is go in 2PSI increments

Just my opinion. I sell tires for living and the standard load will ride the best. the sidewall is not as stiff. The SL tire looks kinda week. Not real aggro looking. If you can find a C load tire that you like it will ride better then the E. I went from the SL to E on my tacoma and it made the rougher

Yes. 22 on C. Less sidewall, more flex. I have more of a footprint at 22 on C then I did at 16 on E. The only time I drop under 18 is when I know in getting into some really bad stuff. My average class 6 pressure is 20-22 though.

That's why I was asking about the flex in D.

And to clear up a bit I'm more so addressing that you can benefit from dropping air at a higher psi sooner than you can with a higher ply because of how stiff that sidewall is. Going up a river , yes I'm at 16. Going over waterboards up a mountain, I'm keeping at 20 (22 hot coming off roads)

    ah makes sense then.
Also sounds like you're on a different terrain than I am usually.
I'm on a lot of rock and sometimes muddy terrain. I need as much as I can get. I agree though the lower ply has an added benefit of a bigger footprint earlier. Thats why I'm hoping the D rated is a happy medium of strength and ability to flex.

E rated does pose that concern of popping a bead to me since you need to go down so low to get a good footprint but that also depends on how much weight you have.

Yeah. I've got a few fishing holes where it's about .6mile up a "brook" on about 8-10*. My a-trac works well with the duratracs and I do that run at 18. For me to hit 15 has to be something where I want a spotter haha.

With that being said when I get into really gnarly stuff my first thought is " so when am I getting my warm weather coppers " haha

Duratracs, C rated. Over 30K on these, and still have lots of tread.

I have 36000 miles on my duratracs and they’re still in amazing shape. Getting louder as they wear but I’m going to get them again after they are shot and that’s rare for me. I usually like to try new tires but these have been perfect.

White letters in? Thought only standard came with black sidewall letters.

@434LSU Here is a great review of Cooper's SL vs C load.
Cooper Discoverer A/T3, The Ranger's Review

I'm running Coopers C load for about 6000 miles. They are louder then stock GoodYear tires, at least at highway speeds, it doesn't bother me tho. I have no complains about them, but then again I have no comparison with Duratracs either.

3" lift 275/70/18 GoodYear Duratrac Granite Alloy Wheels 18*9.5 with 4.5" backspacing. Hard trifold tonneau (Toyota) 30" Auxbeam Light Bar with NFab behind the grill mount KN Blackhawk intake

Duratrac is a great tire. Mine are E. Next round will be C. Great in mud, snow, and quiet on road. I ran AT3s on my 05 Tundra. I hands down prefer the Duratracs so far. Only have 12,000 on the truck, but the tires have held up great thus far. +1 for Duratrac.

When I sold mine they had c load index on the side and they were LT265 70 16

Might be because Canadian spec any trd line comes with tow so they give you a LT tire
