    How bad would it be to just run the suspension tuned for armor without the armor for a couple months?

    It would be kinda rough, if you can stand it then no biggie. I ran with 620lb coils unloaded and it was kinda miserable haha

    Uncomfortable, my leaf springs are way over rated but for my daily use, I’ve been told my truck rides like a full sized dodge.

    But when weighted down the back half is great.

    Hmm...

    So maybe what I should do is just buy the suspension if I can get a good deal on it and wait for the armor to come in. What kind of springs should I be looking for with a plate bumper and a winch? You mention a 620lb coil?

    Also, what's a tasteful lift height? I'm not looking for insane 6 inch dudebro lift, just something decent enough for everyday commuting and every now and then off-roading.

    Doesn't appear any of the ABS goes through BN4

    2.25 is ideal, 2.5 is eh, 3 is stretching it.

    You gotta thinnk Cv axle’s now since your truck Accepts that it’s 4x4z

    The 620s are a curse upon mankind, we do not mention them. Even loaded down they were awful. Anyway the 883s might be good for you.

    Haha right? That scrapper I went down to last month had a Tundra set with Chaos UCA's and Fox Reservoir shocks on sale for $900

    IMO you just described the stuff I originally installed - Toytec BOSS coilovers, and an AAL in the back. Total price was about $1000 (not via a kit, since I used air shocks in the back), and (the front) has served me well. I don't expect the same life span as if I'd put in Kings (and I probably would have spent a bit more and gotten Kings out the gate if I'd known more then) but with 650lb springs they support a bunch of weight, and were easily lowerable to stock height when I didn't yet have any armor).

    I believe BN4 changed to BN7 at some point, probably 01. It is most likely the same exact connector with a new name.

    Not a bad deal but not great either. Resis help keep you from getting shock fade, there is more oil volume and the IFP moves to the resi so it also stores the nitro charge. My rear has always had fade issues so I elected to get resi rears but fronts have been decent this far.

    So those are capable of handling armor, but as I read you had them lowered to handle the stock bumper so the ride wouldn't be harsh?

    It's completely hallow. Guessing Toyota put it there for cabin structure rigidity.

    Lowering doesn't change the spring rate, it just avoids any extra preload that would stiffen it more. He still has 650lb coils when it's set low.
