I’ve slept in one during some pretty heavy rainstorms and been fine. Its rare that a little water seeps in.

The only time water gets under mine is when using a pressure washer and I spray the bottom corners. Even then the bed is only wet at the corners

On a plus side, if it isn't your bag, you can get most of your money back when you go to sell it.

A Ridgid cap will cost you North of $2k. You will find it hard for some one to Shell out that kind of money for a used Ridgid cap.

Losing at the worst $300 selling the ST will be less painful than losing $1k on a Ridgid cap.

135834A3-F2A5-47EC-AF69-61C1258729F0.jpg I’m going to be doing this soon. Just purchased a Tepui Ayer for a bitchen deal from a friend who went to a hard shell rtt. Only thing I’m doing differently is having the tent slide completely out so I won’t have to fold the topper down whenever I pop da top!

    Just do it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. Probably going to need some folding legs like an ambulance stretcher. Doable for sure though

    That's what I'm thinking.
The tent mount should be attached to the truck frame bed bolts rather than the bed sides. If plans are to pull the tent out past the tailgate opening, you really don't want the leverage applied to just to the plastic bed sides.

Will be looking forward to seeing how this works out.

It will have legs in the bed and dropper/extension legs for outside. Don’t think it’ll be too challenging.. Also open for suggestions.
