Just winched this pig out of the owners front yard. I asked if they needed help, which they clearly did judging by the huge holes they had dug with the rear tires and how the bricks and 2x10s under them weren't helping at all...

Question for you almighty T4R smart fellas. So before I drop the cash on some 6112s, was wondering something. If I am looking to level or get close to leveling the front of my wifes 16 T4R SR5 Premium, would some 3rd Gen TRD OR coilovers take it up close to that like it does the 1" on the 2nd Gen guys?

Exactly what I was thinking, since it causes the 3rd Gen to sit 1” higher. But the question is, how much above stock will it take the 5th gen T4R? I’m thinking it will take it right to level if I were to guess, but I’ve been wrong before

I think I have some 3rd gen TRD OR bilsteins sitting on the shelf in my shop. Less than 1k miles on them. Also some 5th gen Trail edition stockers with less than 1k miles on them as well.

I did new mount on the lowers, but all the other link mounts are the same so it is still essentially the stock geometry, but yeah still stock tank, and still hit it. I had an offset driver upper link with a heim and bushing, but the bushing was seeing too much twisting load an blowing up so I chopped it and went dual heims and now Ballistics, so I am dealing with some contact. Bent would be ideal, but I am over fucking with the rear, I have gotten everything I can out of it. Not much left to do but cut it off and 4 link.

I think you'll just need to play around with the angle of the coilover and where the mount comes off the axle. I think the most likely scenario to get everything to play nice would be having the coilover mount off the from of the axle and angled forward maybe 15-20*, then have the bump vertical over the axle

From my build, strike two for Ballistic. Just spoke to them and they are going to send all new joints and spanner, but fuck this is a pain in the ass.

Yeah, this is definitely way more effort than it should be, I ordered them on 1/4 and still don't have a complete order. The worst part is I am going to have to take the links back off, I am so tired of messing with it. I did the hard part this weekend though, which was burning in the weld washers, 2 of the 4 holes were starting to wallow out and I needed to go back down to 1/2" for these joints. The 2 5/8 were perfect, wish they were all that way . . .

On top of that I got some bushings for the axle side of the lower link from a new manufacturer, Steinjager, and they were super fucked as well. Two bushings had a chamfer on them while the other pair did not, one of the chamfered ones looks like the sleeve was installed at an angle and fubared the inside of the bushing, and one of the sleeve looks like it was reemed out by a child with a hand drill.

The bushings do look sold though, they are the hard opaque poly that usually holds up pretty well unlike the matte black ones I usually get from every other vendor (Ruffstuff, Barnes etc.)

starting to resemble some drawers finally.

I threw them in to see how they look. They're not bolted together and i noticed they lean into each other as well. Im guessing i will have to put a 1/2" plank down below them to keep it level as well as secure them to each other.

i removed the shelf on mine to put this in. Ill probably just throw my extra 1/2" plank i have from the build under it.

im going to utilize the two mounting brackets for the shelf where the seats end. Also the left side D ring mounts through the body. Then to each other.
