sr8's beadlock bolt material

I've got SR8's and haven't noticed the bolts rusting. I've had them on for a couple years now, and live on the Pacific coast.

 

Lol...I dunno I had the Baja wheels on my truck some of the bolts were rusty. Just pull one out.

 

You want the bolt specs so you can replace them...I assume. Why on earth have you not already pulled one out, inspected it, and measured it if simply wiping them off didn't remove the "rust"? To replace them, you will have to pull them ALL out ANYWAYS. And you can make sure that it is not brake dust or some other foreign substance and not "flawed" hardware before you start a bash fest. I've got no skin in this game, but seems like a pretty drastic reaction.

And by the way, those aren't beadlocks. Thread title is wrong.

 

well there must be a problem with mine, scs is sending me new bolts for all 4 wheels, i wasnt bashing anyone, at anytime, love my rims, and was disappointed when i saw what was happening , its being taken care of by scs,, thats what a good company does.., thats why i will still be doing business with scs in the future. some of u people need to get a life...jeezzz

Is this what you guys call bad service. I don't live on the forum so I can't always answer a question the moment someone tags me. We have a team of 5, but it's mostly me answering most of the emails, PMs on various forums, processing orders, prepping shipments, scheduling pickups, planning our daily schedule/tasks, plus everything else that is required to run a business. I not only design the wheels, but I also clean the toilets at our warehouse. Are you guys following my drift here?

Yes, it might take me a day or more to get back to someone sometimes. If it's not life threatening then I'm going to respond to anyone in the order of importance or just in the order of getting our work flow done. This means that sometimes you might catch me at the right time and you'll get a response within minutes, but at times it could be 1-2 days for me to get back to you. My work load is pretty maxed out on a daily basis, but I never leave anyone hanging, EVER!

Since Friday evening, I hadn't had a chance to log on until now only to see this thread blow up and turn left real quick for no apparent reason besides some folks just stirring up the pot. We've been loading up 3 UPS trucks everyday this past week. This takes A LOT of my time within itself. I'm not here to try to shush anyone up. It's just a lot easier to deal with potential issues through PM. It's like calling up customer service, you don't really have a conference call for that. You speak to someone on one on the phone. I value our customers and will always take care of them. You just have to have some patience.

 

For anyone actually interested in knowing: The bolt is a M6x8 size and it fits a 10mm socket.

 

Do you guys happen to sell them in black?

 

Just paint them black haha

 

Or let them get covered in brake dust, and they will eventually become darker

From what I've seen, everything here was handled as best it could by SCS. If OP had a big enough problem, couldn't he have called? A response within a day or two is exceptional customer service. Here's a comparison, i ordered a blue torch fab diff cover last March. They said it could be up two or three months since they are moving to a new shop. Fair enough. Four months later i contact them again. They tell me another couple of months. It has been a year and i still don't have my diff cover.

i agree. i did pads and rotors the same time i put my xd XD128 wheels on. there was rust in the canal of the rim, which i though was rust coming through the powdercoat. its brake dust. the wheel dos hold water in the rim which drives me insane, but everytime i went to purchase some scs wheels, they weren't in stock. that they're biggest gripe. they make such a phenomenal wheel, its hard to keep up with demands.

i think this thread should be locked, i think OP shouldn't be so quick to talk smack about a vendor.

 

Again, to be fair, all the op was trying to do was ask a question about the size of the bolt.
