Anybody got any idea what this is and a fix ? When I rev engine up while getting on the highway, rpm goes up to 5k and stays there. I am a new truck owner so alot of this stuff is new to me. Tried to search the forums for anyone who had similar trouble, so sorry if I missed the thread, couldn't find it.

    Anybody got any ideas ?

Please tell me this an auto, right? Your transmission is not shifting, and you need to get that corrected ASAP. Driving around at 5K is bad news.

If it's a manual, nothing I could say would help.

Just to clarify you're saying you speed up on the highway and it doesn't switch to the next gear?

Sounds to me like you are stuck in low range.

Hey guys, it' an automatic, no engine light on, basically when I push it to 50mph+, the rpm goes up to 5k and stays there.

I would verify it is shifting gears and getting into top gear. Try shifting it manually. If it is shifting through the gears and it is high RPM all the way, I would have a look at your actuator. I am not very familier with the workings of a 2010 so I can't give specifics. This happened with my old 68 FJ40 and I had to drive it home in 2wd low range, it was damage to the linkage, that was a long night, but similar to yours, except I kept it to about 30 mph.
