Just bought my single cab. No mods yet, but one day I'll start adding to it. LOL
The first mod will be a backup camera. I'd also like to put in some fog lights.
The wheels will be upgraded when I replace the factory tires.

So Im looking into buying a snorkel and this may sound like a silly question but can I just buy any snorkel or does it have to match the specs of the engine? Thank guys

I've seen that, I just wasn't sure if that would fit our trucks. And the way that I see it is what would you rather spend the money on a snorkel or a new engine lol

What do you mean fit better? Cruiser outfitters sells a kit with a modifiel pattern. I bought that. Half way through I was like omg what I have done it looks like shit. But then I got it all bolted on (pain in the dick to get the inside plummed , it doesn't look too bad. Next time I will pay the big money for one designed to fit.

cold air intakes are pointless on our 4 cylinders. the airbox with a quality (read not k&n) high flow filter will already handle way more than enough air flow. And it breath from inside the fender well, away from engine bay heat. All a "cold" air intake does is breath hot engine bay air and let more dust through (most of them). When someone brings me a truck to work on and I see a k&n cold air intake, I refuse to work on it. You are way better off with the original airbox and and a pro dry s filter. True "cold air intakes" are on track vehicles that never see dirt, usually don't have hoods, and the filter is actually stuck up in the cooler airstream. These cheap ass things guys are putting on their trucks are a joke. Even the interstate has dust on it.

I never knew that, when I bought the truck it came with it so I never did a thing about it, and I also left it because I thought it would give me better gas mileage.

You are correct, it may give you better mileage due to the free flow filter, but depending on the filter may also let larger dust particles in.

Alright that’s good to know, I’m seriously considering swapping my air filter back to the factory because if this air filter is going to be this much of a hassle why bother keeping it right.
